We stayed for 2 nights. A very clean camp basic accomodation but contains all that one needs. The bunglows are serviced every day and kept clean. The mugg and bean serves good food and the park store is well stocked with the normal essential requirements....More
As a family we have been coming regularly to Satara and will continue to visit. If you are camping, try to get a spot along the fence to view the beautiful sunrises or sunsets, and the odd animal strolling by. Bathroom, kitchen and laundry facilities...More
In your small Bungalow you have no luxury but everything you need. Including kitchen and a firepit. Avalable: rastaurant, shop, tours, gas-Station. now ist yours to discover the wilderness. satara camp area in boring but good Chance on lions.
The huts are pretty close together, but well insulated. Everything was clean and easy. Several food choices (the pizza was great and the grocery store had enough items to please most people). Great animal sightings near the camp.

The two sleeper bungalows are arranged in large circles with grassed areas and trees in the middle of each circle. Satara is situated on a flat plain and therefore the views are not as good as in other rest camps and nor is it on a river. For this reason I'd not worry too much about which bungalow you hire. The main attraction is the predators in the area and I can highly recommend a morning walk in the veld with two rangers. A great experience!
