We spent only one night at Madi a Thavha after attending a friend's wedding at a nearby resort. After a bit of rough terrain driving (thankfully during daylight) we made it to this beautiful oasis. The brief glimpse that we had of first class service, stunning views and great activities on offer has put this lodge on our next holiday...

We stayed her for 3 nights in the Funduzi apartment. We were absolutely blown away by the high quality of our accommodation. There was so much space - probably over the top for just the two of us, but the most spacious accommodation we encountered in Southern Africa. It was lovely to sit on the large terrace and see the...

We chose to spend the night here, travelling from Pretoria to Pafuri gate. It is located in a secluded and beautiful surroundings. The owners are Marcelle and her husband, and they are supported by a friendly staff. It has a good restaurant which can cater to your requirements..

Great place for relaxation for a few days or as a stop over en-route to other areas in the northern Limpopo. One cannot fault the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. Very friendly staff and great owners who make an effort to chat to the guests and make one feel welcomed. They have gone an extra mile on comfort, perhaps...

this is a great find, in the not overly touristy but very beautiful north limpopo province. it rained non-stop but it didn't matter. lots of things to do, fun to be had with very attentive, welcoming staff and lovely walks to the big baobab tree. good food too, and a fascinating insight into local cultures. highly recommended!

I'm sitting in the beautiful comfortable pool area overlooking a lush mountainside. Beautiful flowering plants are all around me and everywhere I look I see a different art piece. The entire place is an art gallery. Everywhere I look there's a new feast for the eyes. I am also enjoying the cultural displays that educate me about the local tribes;...

Up a dusty trail not far from Luis Trichard this lodge is in a lovely location, green gardens and mountainous surroundings making it peaceful and tranquil. The main lodge combines the reception, dining area, craft shop and the walk through kitchen. The rooms are in several blocks around the grounds, ours was adjacent to the small swimming pool. The room...

Madi a Thavha is really a special place. It is not far away from Makhado/Louis Trichard and the road, at least in the dry season, is not a problem. The lodge is situated at the foothills of the Soutpanberge, in a beautifull garden with trees, flowers and birds. The little museum is very interesting showing the history of Limpopo and...
