What a nice place. You feel right at home. Its not an all luxurious place, but this is the place where you want to go when you want to get away from it all and still feel Home away from home. I would definitely recommend paying the extra few rand for the Breakfast and Dinner included. They have a small... More

Thank you Don, for your review. You have nailed it - luxury here is not about what you see, but what you feel. And we are delighted that we succeeded in giving you that home away from home experience. Look forward to meeting your wife when you visit next! More

Overall experience was great! Clean and quiet place with a view of the mountains. Dinner was the best! My husband and I really enjoyed our meals, we ordered steak and baked Hake fish...every night because it was that good!! Martha, the owner was very helpful in helping us arrange our safari trip since it was short notice. All the staff... More

Owners/management are very friendly people who set out to help you in every way possible. Premises are now quite old and starting to require significant maintenance. When we were there deck around pool was partially fenced of and waiting on repair. Lodge is out of town and in a quiet location with good views over the surrounding banana plantations.

Hi Bruce, thanks for taking the time to write us a review now you are back home in Australia. I certainly enjoyed our discussions on tourism , South Africa, the world at large, and more... As an independant, small, owner-managed lodge, the budget is not always there for large scale renovations, but we do our utmost. Work on the deck... More

A lovely clean and neat lodge. Lovely food. A bit small, I would have liked to have more sitting space, had no sitting room, I also find a small fridge is also necessary and it didn't have one, It also didn't have a counter (kitchen top) to work on. Great for a backpacker. Friendly people, nice view.

The rooms are good. Good linen and comfortable beds. There is minimal recreational activity that one could particpate in when staying there. But if you are planning to use the lodge as a place of rest while you tour mpumalanga then its perfect.

Thank you for taking the time to review us - it is much appreciated. Whilst not a resort, your comment on activities at Nabana itself is taken to heart. Apart from the outdoor pool and a game of pool in the pub I will get a couple of board games for the lounge. We hope to host you again soon More

Really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very attentive and accommodating, and it was great to have the pub right there where we could mix with some of the locals if we felt like it (i.e. not just tourists).
