We were lucky enough to stay here for two nights, just after Christmas. We were welcomed by Ilara and Robbie and their three dogs. They showed us the property and our two suites and made us feel right at home. The amenities were wonderful and very environmentally friendly. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and also a mini fridge...

Plumbago guest house is nestled in the beautiful Hout Bay. The hosts Mike and Margaret are incredibly hospitable and the views of the mountains are stunning. Hout Bay is easily situated adjacent to Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens and all the major attractions can be reached on the Hop off and Hop on bus service.

We have travelled the world and South africa extensively and it doesn't get any better than this. We keep coming back and for us this is the only option and the perfect location for visiting the Kruger park. The 5 star experience is excelled by Ilara and Robbie, who add the x-factor with their attention to details and warm hospitality....

Very nice and clean room. Big swimming pool. Nice view over Hazyview. We enjoyed our stay for two days. The dinner was nice but relative expensive. In the morning there are monkeys that wake you up but we enjoyed watching them.

Beautiful and Old style Hazyview. We arrived at check-in time, and was warmly invited in, shown around, and given a short tour of where and what. It is peaceful, tranquil, and the missing tv in the bedroom is a blessing in disguise. Attention to detail is fabulous, nice good beds and linen, ensured a good night's rest. As there is...

We stayed here in November on our last evening before flying home to the UK. The house and gardens are immaculate with great attention to detail. Ilana and Robbie are delightfully helpful and considerate hosts. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and restful environment. Need to be aware that their 3 lovely...

Illara could be running a 5 star hotel on the Côte d'Azur, but she has luckily decided to set up shop in Mpumalanga. What a delight - a beautiful, comfortable and extremely friendly guest house within an hour of both Kruger and the Panorama Route. Illara and Robbie are excellent hosts, and the dinners that Illara whips up to serve...
