Jatinga – Boxing Day We have revisited Jatinga on the Boxing day 2014 (Our last stay was during Easter Holiday 2014) and this is my updated review. We were really looking forward to our long weekend away. Due to Jatinga’s good location and beautiful surrounding we decided to revisit (even though the price seemed very high in comparison with other...

We stayed at this colonial style property for one night. It has new owners (Andre and his parents) who have a long job in front of them. It was like living in someone's home as they were so welcoming and their service was excellent but the rooms need a full redecorate (bathrooms were fine though) and although the gardens are...

Jatinga Country Lodge has the feel of a colonial hideaway. It is set in beautiful and well maintained gardens. The rooms are spread around the compound in small cottages. The one I stayed in had a very high, peaked thatch roof. The rooms were large and clean, but all felt a bit dated and out of time. The food was...

A beautiful tree lined driveway is the first thing you notice at Jatinga, a charming hotel with a genuine colonial homely feel. The rooms are lovely and quaint with gorgeous bathrooms, large beautiful baths and indoor as well as outdoor showers. Food is all deliciously fresh, portions are large, beer is cold and a good selection of wine. The hosts...

From the moment we drove up the long drive to the sweet sorrow of parting two days later, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We spent two nights and had much of our time planned before we arrived, now I wish we had decided to just spend the day at the hotel. The grounds were spectacular and the staff was...

Our host was Andre he provided us with excellent service and our breakfast was delicious too. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. We enjoyed the lush gardens and creek on the property.We...

Jatinga is a beautiful property set in lush gardens. The rooms are spacious and neat. Lovely old world country chic public areas. Over all it would be a really nice place to stay if it was not for the owner/hostess! In our opinion she is a major draw back to this beautiful establishment. She is loud, in your face and...

We had dinner there last night and even though the decor and setting are lovely, nothing could make up for the atrocious dinner we had. The service was non-existent. The hostess was wandering around the dining room barefoot and not once did she come to our table to ask if everything was ok. The food was appalling - it was...

We really enjoyed our stay at Jatinga and would like to mention few both positives and negatives experiences we had over these few days: POSITIVES Service: - Very nice and friendly welcome - we were offered drinks (not complementary though)and were assisted with a luggage. We were a little bit earlier but there was no problem with accommodating our request....
