I recently stayed at the Big Five Guest House while on a business trip. The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was average and staff were always friendly. The guest house is situated in a convenient location and close to major roads. The rooms are not easily accessible as you have to climb many uncomfortable stairs...

I am not impressed. Not adequate parking for rooms available. Not disabled-friendly. Supervision of cleaning staff needs attention because one of the rooms floor was still sticky from previous occupants spilling cold drink and the other room's toilet was dirty. If this establishment want to keep their 4 star grading they definitely need to upgrade.

The lodge is in a good location. However I found that they have too many rules. Dinner is served between 6-7pm, breakfast very early etc. I also found service not the best- the place isn't necessarily disability friendly and had to drag my bags to my room with no help. Rooms are just ok- nothing to write home about. They...

Overall I had a bad experience... Firstly the staff made no effort to make me feel welcome. Secondly my room (no 7) had some power shortage every 40 minutes so I had no electricity throughout the entire night. I called the reception to report the problem and some guy came and only told me not to use the plugs, although...

Overall this guest house offers good value with neat rooms and good facilities. Positives: Rooms are clean, with shower/bath combo, DSTV and a small bar fridge. Guest house has its own generator, so load shedding isn't an issue. Negatives: WiFi does not work after 21:00, which means you can do little work in your room after returning from dinner. Breakfast...

Extra whishes will be immideately full filled. Smoking area is missing. We had huge problems with the WIFI connections Outside area - very poor- nothing to do, to go out - even having dinner outside...

The Guest house is exactly as it is on the pictures. Very beautiful and neat. The rooms all have beautiful views and not to mention that they super clean. I really wasn't expecting the place to be that beautiful honestly considering how affordable it was. Me and my friends really enjoyed our stay. Big ups to the lady by reception...

Beautiful, friendly staff and conveniently close to town and shopping centres, with undercover parking. Place was fully booked, except for a small room. The room was small, but cosy, and comfortable enough for two nights stay. Breakfast food is simple (no fancy stuff), delicious and more than enough. One of the best places to stay in Witbank, Emalahleni.
