We visited as part of a group on two week journey in South Africa. The accommodation was excellent, nice design, comfortable rooms, good beds. Very spacy! We went on two morning and two afternoon safari and was very lucky with seeing a lot of animals, despite a bit of rain on two of the occasions. The guides, Fiona and Marcus...

The rooms in the lodge are lovely but the food was very average compared to our experience in Madikwe, especially as both places were the same price. The food was all buffet and not very imaginative with it. The breakfast was very basic. The staff were very nice. The drives were good but not as good as Madikwe, not just...

The lodge is very pretty and located in a reserve opened to the Pilansberg. It is very pretty and in a nice location, overlooking a small dam. Rooms very spacious and beautiful, each with shower, bath and outside shower. No internet in rooms and slow in the restaurant area... but it does not matter when you are in the bush!!!...

My wife and I stayed during 2 nights at Black Rhino and it was amazing. We didn't have much time for a safari, but we couldn't miss it while in SA - so we chose Pillanesberg, conveniently located near JNB. At Black Rhino all meals are included as well as 2 safaris per day: 1 in the morning around Pillanesberg...

Went away to the Lodge for a weekend away for a mates birthday. Threatened to start off on the wrong note when my son spotted a black mamba outside the kitchen but the ranger took care of it. We had multiple game drives, many late nights by the pool, kids loved the pool table and watching game at the raised...

This is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay with multiple daily game rides. Our ranger, Dian, was so knowledgeable and interesting and willing to go where his passengers directed. We saw all 5 of the Big Five which was such a thrill. The food and accommodations are outstanding and the staff very friendly and care greatly to make your stay...

We visited the Black Rhino Lodge for a long weekend. The staff, food and accommodation are very good, but the bush experience is fabulous. We spend between 6 and 8 hours a day on game driving (morning and afternoon drives). We saw a brown hyena, baby jackals, close views of a pride of lions, herd of elephant, buffalo, rhino and...

Spent 3. Nights at this Game Reserve. Arrived by car and was created very warmly by Matthew and staff. As I was an early checkin I was handed a cold refreshing beer after the 3 hour trip from Johannesburg. Lunch followed and then was shown my luxury chalet. Was also informed that the first safari began later in the afternoon....

We stayed at black rhino for 4 nights. We traveled as a family of 4 with 18 year old girl and 9 year old boy. Checking in: Nice warm welcome pretty informal but kind and warm. Fast and efficiently shown our 2 wonderful lodges. As we missed lunch we were offered food before first game drive. Helpful with luggage too....
