We had the pleasure of staying here recently and it was a truely great experience. The lodge is very comfortably appointed, the staff are friendly and proffessional and the food wholesome and tasty! Only comment is that the wines are pricey! Our game ranger Daryll was extremely knowledgeable and we were very lucky to see lots of game. Amoungst others...

My family and I were pleasantly surprised with our visit to the Black Rhino Game Lodge in the Pilanseberg National Park. South Africans often turn their noses up at the Pilanseberg for game viewing, as it is often over-shadowed by the Kruger National Park or Midewkwe. However, we really enjoyed our visit and had amazing game viewing. We saw all...

We had a lovely stay at Black Rhino. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable and the staff were very hospitable. A big thanks to our game ranger, Steyn- very informative and focused on customer satisfaction. Also to Matthew, Thabo, Albany, Daniel and the barmen. The surprised me with some lovely birthday gifts (champagne and rose petals on the bed and...

Stayed for 3 nights, small hotel with 18 individual lodges offering privacy. Food was quite satisfactory and prices were really good (compared to European-Euro currency). Pools were actually pretty small but it was to hot to stay outside and swim. Safari tours were well organised in small groups of people offering direct contact with your guide.

A well deserved #3 in the Trip Advisor ratings, IMHO and I agree with pretty much all of the recent previous comments. I chose this lodge partly for the pricing, which I thought was reasonable and partly for location, being in the private part of Pilanesberg. We got to have game drives without the traffic jams that can occur in...

Great lodge. Wonderfull rooms, great animals! And we spotted the rare black rhino. The game drives are ok but you experience that iT is routine for the rangers. Smaller lodges are more passionated. But no reason not to visit this great plece.

We spent four beautiful days in this family owned lodge. Only a few guests can be there at the same time and this means pure luxury for me. We met the owner who is absolutely aware of what is going on around and in the lodge. The managers in duty - a very nice couple - are totally engaged and...

I try to visit the Pilansberg at least once a year and my stay at Black Rhino was the best experience that I have had to date! You feel as though you have walked into heaven in the bush. The staff are amazing and the Game Rangers are excellent. The food is delicious and wholesome and the rooms are beautiful....

This was a flying visit, but worth the stop over. The room was huge and big enough for full beds to be set up for kids, not just mattress on the floor. We actually didn't go on a game drive, but found that sitting by the hide was ideal in the late afternoon. A stocked mini-bar was also a great...
