At first glance the apartment is clean and acceptable. However, close inspection reveals dirty carpet; burn marks (from hot cooking utensils and pots) on the carpet; broken light fixtures; light fixtures which serve no purpose since there is no electrical plug points close enough to plug into; towels that are clean but almost as thin as toiler paper; bed linen... Although a little out of town, the apartment is worth it. Right next to Table mountain. Two supermarkets on site plus cafes make catering easy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is free. Apartment fairly well equipped with cooking facilities, easy chairs, huge bed, separate bathroom. No complaints

I spend a few weeks here and found it good accommodation. The staff were super friendly...always there to help you with a cheerful smile. The rooms have everything you need, one thing I would recommend is taking your own pillow if you like soft/medium pillows. I had a Table Mountain view and loved waking up to the view every day.... Part of the reason I feel inclined to give this place 5 stars is that they DONT ADVERTISE FREE INTERNET. you pay for it. now, THAT MAKES SENSE. I definitely don't mind paying for it. what drives me nuts is the countless places that list "free wireless internet" and seem to think the word "free" makes it optional. Otherwise, the... More

Garden Center Holiday Apartments sounds attractive on paper!! But please take note of the following: 1. Close to amenities and shops. 2.Walking distance from City center. 3.Difficult to access apartments as indications are poor to non-existent. 4.Room 501 has maybe the oldest mattress on the market - please stay clear!! Door appears to have been damaged and forced open. 5.First... More

Stayed here for 3 days on a business trip. Rooms look a bit old and worn, but they were comfortable and had enough space. For the rate we paid it was OK. If you are used to 4 or 5 star establishments...in fact, if you're in the habit of referring to your holiday accommodation as "establishments", then this is probably... More

My daughter and I went back to Gardens Centre Apartments and this year, the experience was MUCH BETTER than last year's! The key to the apartment was on hand for us and there was no need to go chasing after someone to let us in. Having arrived on a Saturday, after hours, I was suitably impressed at this. From there... Huge rooms with good self-catering facilities and spectacular views of Table Mountain. Convenient for city centre and next to some good shops/restaurants. Friendly helpful reception staff. Great value for money.

Situated in a good area close to Mount Nelson Hotel and Central Cape Town and conveniently situated above a shopping centre with a large store retailer making it convenient to self-catering. This is a fantastic choice for solos or couples visiting Cape Town. I paid R800 per night and was given a 14th floor room with a panoramic view of Table Mountain. My room was incredibly dated, sort of a 1970s time warp, with dents and scratches everywhere, but it didn't matter - linen and towels were clean, the room was... More
