Everything is perfect with this one so not much more to say. The only con is that if you are looking for a party hostel meeting lots of people, maybe not the spot. Otherwise you can't go wrong with this one. Lots of space, chilled, very clean and good facilities!

Had an absolutely wonderful time here! Met some really lovely people, staff are super nice, clean and quite, short walk from centre and near some good restaurants. The place is clean, and has all the amenities. The only thing I will say is they have replaced the aircon with fans so the rooms can get a bit stuffy on a...

Like my title says, I would rather call it a backpackers than a lodge. The truth is probably somewhere inbetween. All in all I can really recommend this place in Cape Town for the following reasons: + increadibly friendly and helpfull staff who really seem to like their job + amazing view on Table Mountain from their balcony + MyCiti...

Out of all of the places I stayed at in South Africa, this was easily my favorite. A nice location, a good value, but the thing I liked most was how I was treated by the staff. Very kind and helpful people! They went out out of their way to help me. If I am ever in Cape Town again,...

Definitely more of a backpackers than a BB. Probably too old for the place or too spoiled. Reckon 10 years back I would have raved about the place, so if you are ten years younger than me, go for it! If not, search B&B in Cape Town to avoid disappointment...

Free wifi aswell which you can use in your room. The free breakfast is toast, spreads and cereal with tea/coffee. Great little place. Nice warm...

The place is quiet and pleasant. Lounge on first floor is spacious and clean with plenty sofas. Resting area on the second floor has...

I really enjoyed my stay here. Fairly small and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked and there were a couple of grocery stores within walking distance. Only thing to fix would have been the hand towels being changed more frequently. I'd stay again.

I'm currently staying at Amber Tree Lodge. The rooms are spacious and comfy. The showers are great. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Amber Tree is a great place to stay in Cape Town. Centrally located without all the hustle and bustle.

“Good double room out the back. Not bad twin upstairs. The 6 bed dorm at front on left, is a little cramped although the beds are good”

“The twin room with courtyard view is nice and quiet, opens onto the tranquil courtyard and the living room is just on the other side. It is en suite as well - nice clean bathroom with shower.”

“The 6 bed dorm at the front can be a little noisy with people leaving nearby restaurants after dinner & the church across the road rings their bell quite early! But it really wasn't an issue!”
