The reception was solemn. We were frustrated after going through the process of checking in at the Ashanti Gardens instead of Greenpoint only to find out our bookin was actually in Green Point. We were not in the best mood and the receptionist was tolerant but also not very helpful. The dorm rooms were disappointing and we struggled to get...

Hi E3921SEcamib We are sorry that you went to the wrong property and had to do the check-in process twice due to this. With regards to the dorms, having a combination door code is industry standard and we do this for our guests own safety and convenience. Kind regards, Jason

Dorm was roomy and bed comfortable with room to store luggage underneath the bed which you could lock with your own padlock. Staff friendly though not exactly willingly helpful in terms of where to get food, what to do etc. A nice stay overall.

Stayed here for a night after my overland camping tour, had a double bed to myself with shared facilities. The bed was super comfortable and the shared facilities were really clean. Really good location, quite safe in that area and things are nearby to walk or getting an uber is really cheap as well. Had breakfast and didn't enjoy it...

We stayed at Ashanti Lodge in Green Point on the recommendation of the travel company we were about to tour with (Acacia Africa) and it was a great choice. Cheap rooms but very clean with nice facilities. Breakfast was OK (good value for money) and service from reception was fantastic. Location was good - felt safe and cheap to take...

It was my first time at a backpackers place. I had ordered a double room all to my self and it was great. I shared bathrooms with all the people upstairs but never had any issues. Bathroom, kitchen and common areas including pool were clean. The staff were especially friendly and helpful with planning out activities for my trip. They...

We stayed at Ashanti Backpackers greenpoint for 5 days. The rooms and facilities are extremely clean, even though it was public holidays I saw cleaners in at least once a day - this is a big plus for me when staying at any backpackers. Furthermore the staff members are very helpful and friendly and had good suggestions as to where...

This lodge is a bit more expensive than other lodges for a dorm, but it is its money worth. It is a really clean place with a nice pool. The reception is open 24/24 and are very helpful. If you are ready to pay a bit more for more luxe then it is the place you need.

Good location for the sevens rugby game located at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town. Room was a bit small. Staff was accommodating given early check-in and late return after rugby. Overall comfortable stay.

Great place to stay. Pool and the pancake mix is a big plus! The staff was great with any assistance needed and giving tips on what is fun to do in Cape Town. Walking distance from a lot of shops and nice warm showers all the time. The choice of buying beers there while you chill was also great!
