We spent three nights at this wonderful hotel. It is located in a quiet section of the waterfront. Our room was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed. The other thing that made our stay so nice was the wonderful staff. The concierge service was outstanding. They made great recommendations plus arranged for drivers to take us to the wine...

My partner and I stayed here for a week in November. Stunning bedroom with view of Table Mountain and the best shower pressure ever! Loved the friendly staff -they were always willing to help- organised taxis when needed and made our stay just perfect. My diamond earing was found when cleaning my room and quietly put next to my bed...

My wife and I stayed here for five days in November, and had a terrific time. Intimate, perfectly located, with great design, the hotel is ideal for a sophisticated traveler looking for a waterfront hotel. We had a lovely junior suite with a balcony overlooking Table Mountain and a sliver of the waterfront. Breakfasts were delicious, and the servers quickly...

it's tough indeed to match the superlative experience that we had at the queen, victoria-location? go to the clock tower right across the dock road from the ferris wheel at the V&A waterfront- the high walls suggest the battlements of a royal castle-(it was indeed fortified when capetown was one of the centerpieces of the British Empire)- the hotel has...

The advantage of a smaller hotel is the interaction you get with the staff who are all fantastic. Location is ideal for the Waterfront without being too close. Breakfasts are well presented with a good choice from a buffet and menu. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Upmarket boutique feel that is quite refreshing. Easy parking around the property. The...

Spent five wonderful days at the hotel. Great location, a couple of minutes from the excitement and dazzle of the V&A waterfront. Hotel staff were uniformly welcoming, professional and helpful. Restaurant was great; copious and elegant breakfast was much appreciated. Rooms were a good size; excellent shower! All told, a first rate experience.

Generally have never really felt compelled to write a review until after staying at the Queen Victoria. Instead the views from our so called 'deluxe'...

We stayed here for 3 nights, lovely big hotel room. Great location walking distance to V&A waterfront. Good breakfast, we dine at the hotel as Capetown has so much choice! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen Victoria Hotel is the newest addition to Newmark Hotel’s portfolio, which offers a myriad of ideally located upmarket hotels, other accommodation options and restaurants. What sets this unique five-star boutique hotel apart is the attention to detail given by the creative team responsible for its development, who achieved this through their unwavering passion for awe-inspiring design. From the creative brief of ‘where classic elegance meets contemporary design’, every effort has been made to ensure that the 35-room Queen Victoria Hotel is a haven of calm, luxury and understated opulence amongst the hustle and bustle of Cape Town’s popular V&A Waterfront. The interiors create an ambience of peaceful elegance, through the use of greys and taupes, marble-clad walls, crystal chandeliers, white marble and wooden parquet flooring, not to mention the triple-volume foyer with its dramatic white spiral staircase, glass lift and crystal chandeliers. The signature shade of deep purple has been employed to add a touch of regal eccentricity as an ode to the historic figure after whom the hotel is named. From the food and beverage offering at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, Dash, to the interior aesthetic, the Queen Victoria Hotel embodies a sense of international flair fused with local flavour. The menu at Dash is structured around classic French cuisine, with all ingredients sourced locally and seasonally, while ninety per cent of the interior pieces were sourced from local design geniuses. With a management team and staff dedicated to making every guest feel like royalty, a stay at the Queen Victoria Hotel will certainly exceed your expectation of what five-star luxury should be like. ... more   less
