Excellent ambience, nice friendly staff and great lounge area. I can concur with other reviewers that service at breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, particularly T weekends. One morning, we had to ask for coffee four times - each successive waiter just floated away and seemed to forget they'd taken an order. Rooms lovely and views great too. Well...

The Table Bay Hotel is situated at the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront which is a central tourist area in Cape Town. With the beautiful backdrop of Table Mountain and next to the restaurant and shopping Area and the Robben Island ferry in the harbor it is ideally located. The Table Bay hotel is a grand 5 star...

We stayed for 7 nights over New Year. Highly recommended! Hard to beat for location right on V&A Waterfront, endless restaurants and shops (for both essentials and browsing), views over either Ocean or Table Mountain, stylish rooms, superb food and really friendly and attentive service. Unusual to get all these so consistently high over peak period when very busy. Some...

Everything about this hotel was perfect. The location on the waterfront, a variety of great restaurants within walking distance, a world class shopping center attached to the hotel, the over the top amenities and service, the professional and friendly staff, the included buffet breakfast with every food choice you could want...the large, well-appointed room with an expansive view of the...

Both positives and negatives about this hotel. First of all, the location couldn't be better, right on the V&A waterfront with direct access to shops, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel itself is a bit tired looking, and could do with some updating. Having said that the rooms were a great size, with good views - either of the sea or...

The hotel is walking distance to mall and harbor activities....restaurants etc. A little run down for the price. The views from room are pleasant enough of table mountain but views also include a little bit of the industrial side of the harbor. Service in the restaurant was lovely as the staff was super friendly. The breakfast buffet that was included...

Lovely stay. Very helpful and very very smart staff. The breakfast was amazing with a mind boggling array of food to choose from. The hotel is at the quieter end of the V&A waterfront. Excellent (if a tad overt) security at the hotel and around the waterfront area. Lots of activity and great choice of eateries.

The room was very far at the end of a long hall way, which I thought was surpring because we booked on time and it was not a discounted rate. The rate we booked on was changed up because of occupancy changes in the hotel, no one explained that to us. Although the room was "tidied up" it was not...
