This was our sixth visit to the V&A Hotel, we have just stayed for 12 nights, the hotel really is the best located 4 star hotel on the Waterfront, you also have access to the pool and garden facilities at the sister Dock House Hotel across the road, additionally you have access to the Queen Victoria Hotel facilities which is...

Stayed at the V&A for four nights in November at the start of our South Africa trip. We had a second floor room with a view of Table Mountain and the waterfront. Large room, all of the amenities one would expect of a luxury hotel in the room. Water was left by the turn down crew every evening. We arrived...

When booking this hotel it was for a special occasion, a birthday. The hotel sends you a simple questionnaire beforehand asking basic information and special request. booking.com also ask for any special requests despite the fact that the birthday was mentioned twice, also an early check in was requested as we came form a 9 hour flight from Dubai. Nothing...

Great location, wonderful staff, especially Lucy and Ryan who organized a lovely picnic hamper to take up Table Mountain. So much to do here, probably the red bus tour is the best starting point Thank you

We stayed in the V&A hotel after being on safari in Kruger National Park. We arrived to the room being decorated with petals and a half bottle of champagne and fruit platter. It was beautiful. The room was lovely, spacious and ideal for our short time in Cape Town. Ideally located for a champagne cruise out in the bay, fresh...

Brilliant location on the waterfront with amazing views of Table mountain. In a safe area to walk around day & night; close to many restaurants and bars but not noisy at night once windows closed. Good quality buffet and menu breakfast on offer. Loft rooms quiet, spacious and comfortable. Helpful concierge who booked all of our excursions (would recommend Robben...

Extremely convenient location at the center of activity! The staff was very courteous and helpful, the rooms clean, but the third floor room we were given had a sloping roof with dormer type windows that crimped the space. One of the remote window screens did not work. The rooms were otherwise well maintained and the bathroom was clean. I observed...

I think one of the reasons for choosing the V & A is for the view: you are right on the water and under the Table Mountain. But if you want a luxury hotel with that type of service and amenities, choose another hotel. The staff is friendly enough but there is no personal touch, no charm in the place....
