Stayed at the Tudor hotel for quite a few nights and I would highly recommend it as a central budget option. A very friendly reception every time you enter the hotel and no-nonsense approach to helping guests with their various needs. Excellent breakfast, bar round the clock. Rooms are pretty large, good beds and bathrooms are fine too. Internet is...

Nice clean old school hotel in the city center of Cape Town, awesome stay. Nice restaurants around the square, and walking distance from some interesting sights. Long street is full of energy, I always enjoy my stay at this hotel, and I love the area. Every time I go back, I find a new gem in the area.

Apart from breakfast, everything is a nightmare. Tudor hotel offers very dusty rooms. I had to ask to clean my room for them to vaccum. The room space is limited, no availability of balcony i felt so suffocated inside. You cant open the windows properly for morning sunshine. Worse, water leaks from the aircon and it becomes so irritating and...

Rooms neat and clean. Well presented. Breakfast good. Centrally situated. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Not always parking available. Small lift to rooms. Catch the City to City bus from the airport one change or catch taxi short distance to hotel.

My wife and stayed here for one night. As Cape Town residents ourselves it was wonderful to experience Cape Town Centre in such a lovely little hotel. It is very small but we are used to that in our international travels. The staff is friendly and helpfull and the breakfast was very satisfying!

The rooms are pokey to say the least but one cant expect more for where you are. The bathroom is a matchbox in size and really not worth the bother. The noise is terrible, youre in the middle of the city but worse still youre right above Green Market Square where traders start setting up at 05h30 so if youre...

I did not stay here so cannot comment on the hotel, but I did have breakfast here a couple of mornings. Breakfast starts at 8 am and their buffet costs 65 SAR PP which is amazing value for the great spread the hotel puts on. The usual cooked and cold dishes are available along with cereals, yoghurts , bread and cakes,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The TUDOR Hotel is much more than just a place to stay. Situated right in the heart of the city on Greenmarket Square with its daily African market, you will be staying in the oldest hotel in Cape Town. We are proud of our heritage and while 'old' adds atmosphere, it does not mean 'old-fashioned'. When it comes to creating comfort, the recently refurbished Tudor Hotel is a combination of contemporary finishes and the historic face of the city. The TUDOR Hotel is situated in the heart of Cape Town, next to Greenmarket Square, the vibrant Long Street and St. Georges Mall with its shops, bars and many restaurants to visit. It is only a short walking distance away from major sight seeing points, such as the Company Gardens, the Parliament and museums. Other attractions can be reached via Public Transport (MyCiti Bus Service) or by a radio taxi. Cape Town's Convention Center (CTICC) is just down Long Street and to be reached within 15 min. Walk from the TUDOR Hotel. ... more   less
