Well Fiona and Karen haven't you made this beautiful Victorian Town House in to something special. We had three nights here in great comfort with great attention to detail. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. Trips and restaurants were all explained and recommended and the breakfast was just lovely as was the honesty bar set...

A charming guesthouse with a very hospitable host. We were on our honeymoon and were welcomed with a beautiful room with views of table mountain, a bottle of champagne and fresh fruit - a wonderful start to our visit to Cape Town. The room and bathroom were tastefully decorated and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious. The only improvement would...

A really beautiful hotel run by Fiona and Karen who help make your stay memorable, will recommend and book local restaurants and will do whatever they can to make your stay memorable. A lovely oasis at the back of the hotel to chill out in the pool and enjoy the sun. Very convenient to explore Cape Town and experience the...

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens) stayed here for 5 nights and were delighted with the service and accommodation. It is just a 5 min walk to the Kloof Street which has lots of great eating place. The service is excellent, the rooms lovely and the view of Table Mountain is pretty special. The staff were friendly and...

Charming, homely and very comfortable boutique hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be sad to leave Fiona and the team who have looked after us extremely well. Lovely location with fantastic views of Table Mountain. Convenient for getting into the city but with good local restaurants within 5 mins walk.

I visited Welgelegen while vacationing in Cape Town with friends, and I was blown away by this hotel. I haven't stopped raving about it for two months. Ultimately Welgelegen is an incredible place to stay for three reasons: (1) the location, (2) the hotel itself, and (3) the service provided by the managers. First, Welgelegen is in a prime location....

A brilliant hotel - wonderful service from start to finish, including the weeks after we left - on returning to UK I realised I'd lost a watch; the hotel found it and ensured it was delivered safe and sound (and still on SA local time!) Great location, small and luxurious - perfect!
