We had the most wonderful time staying at Welgelegen! The accommodation is so welcoming and comfortable; I loved all of the decorative details of the sitting rooms and dining room and the wonderful music. The staff is very kind and helpful. Thank you to Simon and Rita for your attentiveness; you are always smiling :) Fiona helped us book an...

Beautifully furnished with a breakfast so good I still dream of it, Welgelegen is just a few minutes' walk from Kloof Street where we ended up dining every night. The only faults were the promises when we arrived (the toiletries turned out to be far from organic and we later had trouble booking things through staff) and the broken shower...

By accident I stumbled upon Welgelegen and it has been a love affair ever since. I travel to Cape Town on business regularly throughout the year and this place is a little piece of heaven for me - my home away form home. The staff are attentive but not invasive, the ambience is calm & relaxing and the rooms are...

We enjoyed a three day stay here after a safari and visit to Victoria Falls. What a beautiful place. The décor is meticulous, the colors soothing, the rooms luxurious. Our room was large with a walk-in closet containing a bench, lots of shelving, safe and hanger rod. Two towels were provided. The bathroom was small but had good space to...

We stayed at the Welgelegen at the beginning and end of our 10 day stay in South Africa. We stayed in two different rooms and even the smallest one in the hotel was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good, the staff great and Fiona has nurtured a real gem in her guest house. There...

We had a wonderful four night stay with at Welgelegen with our 3 year old son. Fiona, Colleen and the team are brilliant; the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and absolutely doted on our little boy. Welgelegen is in a very safe and quiet area - a short walk from Kloof Street. It was brilliant to be able to...

We started our month long trip here, made to feel really welcome right from the start, even though it was in the early hours of the morning. The décor is relaxed and comfortable and the staff are fantastic. Our room was spacious and overlooked the courtyard. The fruit and port just a lovely addition to all the other personal touches...

We came back here after visiting last year because we were so well looked after. It is in a quiet area but very close to all the places we wanted to visit or with good access to transport. Many good restaurants are within walking distance in the evening. We were enthusiastically welcomed back and Fiona and her staff appeared pleased...
