I stayed at the Lady Hamilton Hotel in November 2016. It's situated in Gardens in a residential road. The Lady Hamilton is an older hotel that seems to cater for the 'cost saver' tourist groups. Parking in the property cost and additional R50 per night, but it could be quite tricky with a large vehicle. My room was on the...

Stayed at the Lady Hamilton almost two years ago for the first time and again in the beginning of this year (2017). The hotel itself has quite a few maintenance issues which you get the feel that as a three star hotel they have accepted the flaws and do not really wish to improve on it, which is sad cause...

food hygene is non existant, dangerous temporary ramps on which I almost broke arm and leg, fire hazards everywhere especially in dining room, noisy doors swinging too and fro, noisy guests shouting til one oclock in the morning despite complaints. Pillows that saw duty first in 1950. But of course it is cheap.

The hotel is very good situated in Cape Town, but it is a bit dilapidated. The foyer is very nice, but that's where it stops. The room in which we stayed was very basic and not so clean. The veranda door struggled to open and the balcony was dirty with old cigarette butts. No safe, fridge, kettle or even bottled...

Hotel was okay. WiFi only in the bar and lobby. No tea making facilities in room. Bathroom was very small, however bedroom was clean and comfortable with enough cupboard space. Breakfast was nice. And staff were friendly, especially the chef

We originally were put off this hotel because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. Due to an issue with our other hotel (see my review on Signal Hill Lodge) we ended up booking this hotel at 5 in the evening and being there to check in within half hour of booking it. It's a pink building that from the pictures...

The room I had was small and had the absolute minimum of amenities. A number of small anoyances were noted. Broken shelf in the bathroom. No soap dish in the shower. No space for my laptop in the room. Ironing room instead of in room iron or valet service. No phone directory etc. I hope not to have to use...

What a dump. No lift in the hotel. No kettle in your room (have to go downstairs). Black mould in my bathroom and damp wall in the bedroom. Door lock hanging on for dear life and wifi only in the lounge. Whoever owns this hotel should hang their head in shame. Revamp or demolish THIS IS NOT WHAT CAPE TOWN...

We again visited for 5 days! The service and attention you receive from the staff, from the Manger Charlene to front Lady Dianne, to Chef Neil and Mischka, it just proves that when you walk into this hotel they make you feel right at home! The rooms are always clean and semi modern, the cuisine prepared by the Chefs are...
