We visited here as a family. Caught a taxi from the airport. Hotel is in the centre of town within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We took a trip to the waterfront and enjoyed fresh fish and chips, very nice. Also a lovely sea water swimming pool a short walk away. We used the towns 'Rickys' to get to...

On a budget, stayed at this hotel and thought it was ok. Cheap and cheerful, friendly staff, close enough to the shore to walk there. Plenty of other travellers and expats to meet and chat to. Rooms are basic but clean.

I stayed at this hotel and found it to be a decent, cheap hotel. The room was clean, the shower/bathroom was good, and the area felt safe. It was close to the beach and about a 5min drive from the Waterfront. The staff were helpful. The room was small with a view of a narrow laneway but for a cheap...

arrived at trhe lodge in the dark, and hated the place. I know the place is cheap, and I thought it would be ok for 5 nights, but I cried when I arrived there. The room smelled terrible and the bathroom was very old and decrepid. When we got up in the morning we tried to book into another hotel,...

Don't bother staying here - the area is dangerous and the hotel has seen better days. Every room has been smoked in, leaving the non-smokers with the distinct smell of smoke on their clothing. The front desk staff are rude - requests for taxis, laundry, guidebooks, etc were all met with rudeness and laziness. The staff in the restaurant were rude...

We stayed at the Lion's Head Lodge for 2 nights as part of a 21 night overland tour through SA, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe in May 2006. This hotel was booked for us through the tour operator as part of our initial stay in Cape Town, although we had already stayed for 4 nights in a hostel. The hotel is...

The Lion's Head Lodge is a great place to stay. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with how friendly and helpful the reception ladies were. After checking in, Grace showed us to our rooms and even pointed out where all the lodge facilities were along the way. They also provided information on where it was safe to withdraw...

Well, i have stayed in Lions Head Lodge twice because its very convenient, in Sea Point! Its clean and has a great travel centre/ineternet cafe plus a bar and restaurant, pool etc. The staff know all the best places to visit and are organised. It is worth staying here because it is cheap and clean - massive rooms and bathrooms!...

The Lion's Head Lodge in Cape Town is great value - a perfect location (in the middle of Sea Point, a few blocks walk to the beach) with great amenities - pool, restaurant, 2 bars, travel center. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and really took good care of us for our 9-day stay. furnishings/bathrooms are basic, but certainly...
