Once offers everything you need in a hostel with a whole lot more - great vibe, central, friendly staff, amazing food. Best experience I've had at a hostel in Cape Town. Would highly recommend staying here

Stayed for 3 nights at Once in Cape Town in April 2017. Location is great, as its in Kloof street that offers quite a few trendy and vibey restaurants. And walking distance to Long Street. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Stayed in a private room with own bathroom, which was comfortable. Had everything I needed. Free Wifi was great...

Don't know what else I expected. Booked a private room in a back packers lodge. We ended up being taken to the wrong room. Its hard to get someone to open the automated gate once the sun sets. Quite a lot of rats in the parking lot too. The room is very smart and the bathroom looks brand new.

Once in CT has a beautiful property that attracts fun nightlife. Great location, right next to Long Street. All of the staff are extremely fun and friendly. That being said, there is no A/C in the rooms, making it almost unbearable to sleep at night due to the temperature. Without A/C, we had to keep our windows open all week,...

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and heaps of activities on offer - a great base to explore Cape Town. Well located very close to Long Street, and not too far from Table Mountain cable car, Once is an easy place to start your Cape Town adventure. It has a great bar and noise thankfully didn't carry up to the 3rd floor...

Nice hostel with friendly people! Got helped by cojea. Told me about his study and plans for graduating in Germany. Also had a little talk about soccer, in the meantime he told me about the hostel and the room. Nice warm welcome here!

Once is a great hostel, has by far the coolest bar scene on kloof street and the staff are really friendly. Special mention to Coja who was warm, welcoming & helpful in getting us settled in & helping us organise things to do around beautiful Cape Town. Much love!

I arrived here at the end of a 3 week trip with disappointment. It was incredibly loud! My room was on the second floor directly above the restaurant/bar and was terribly loud inside. Even the hallway was quieter. Some of the people I was travelling with had pre-booked longer stays and were very disappointed. Luckily it was full when I...
