Such beauty in this Victorian style place. Staying here isn't like staying at some hotel; the feel is different and so is the environment. We were welcomed with such smiles and the staff were very helpful. The staff helped us with restaurant reservations across Cape Town as well

Tasteful furnished and decorated hotel with excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. What do you need more.
We spent three nights here and it was an excellent experience. The lodge is located in a silent area and has a small pool in a shady garden.

Big is not always beautiful and sometimes the converse is true - so it is with Blackheath Lodge - small but perfectly formed!

Friendliness and professionalism abound - such treatment can easily translate into condescending behaviour but not here - they are genuinely keen to know

Hi Christine. Planning first trip to SA next feb. No real idea of where the actual hub of shops, bars , restuarants are within capetown. So, can we safely walk from BHL to the main shops/bars etc or would be need a car or taxi ? Is driving around capetown easy for a doddery brit ?:) We plan a week in Stellenbosch and a week in CT, hence the question about whether BHL is idealy located for the capetown city sights and restaurants etc? Id much prefer to walk into 'town' if thats possible ? any thoughts please ? Thanks, Peter
Hello Peter Thanks for your message and delighted you would like to enjoy Cape Town in February. We look forward to welcoming you. BHL is ideally located for all the hot spots, quiet yet close the everything really, including bars/shops/restaurants. You can walk to the V&A Waterfront via the Atlantic Seaboard Promenade too. Driving is easy in, around in other surroundings areas including the Winelands/Stellenbosch as well as Hermanus, located at the seaside and a magnificent drive (less than 2 hours from Cape a town). Stellenbosch is 30 to 45 minutes and Franschhoek about an hours drive). I am very happy to assist you with recommending hotels in all areas. What are you planned dates in February ?
