Like all the reviews say, this is a hidden gem! We stayed here for 3 nights and we could've been home from home! The rooms are so comfortable, the staff were always smiling, Pearl's breakfasts were amazing and Coco the dog, well, she was an added bonus! Thank you BHL.

Amazing, amazing guesthouse - we could not fault them for one thing and would highly recommend! My husband and I stayed here for five nights in October 2016 - he prefers big hotels and was skeptical of a guesthouse, but Blackheath completely won him over. I like trying new places, but if we went back to Cape Town, I would...

We were traveling with a group of couples from Canada on a South African golf vacation. Blackheath Lodge was our final 3 nights and was the icing on the cake. Antony and staff made sure our every need was taken care of. Four of us used Karl to take us to a golf course about 30 minutes away and he...

BHL is a little gem! We have just returned from a 15 night stay . At one level it is a very comfortable, quiet, conveniently located up market B & B or boutique hotel. But what makes it great is the friendly, knowledgable, exceptionally helpful and professional staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. I could mention individuals but...

My first impression was that the reviews were exaggerated- I was wrong! We spent 4 days ,prior to a cruise, at this delightful establishment. The whole staff went out of their way to help/advise us. Every need was anticipated and fulfilled ( except I couldn't take the dog home with me). This is a quirky and interesting property and the...

What a lovely, quaint guesthouse with superlative service. The guesthouse has 16 rooms, all unique with different attributes; a swimming pool with shaded lounge chairs and all the mod cons. It is really a lovely quiet retreat which is well located close to the beach and the amenities. Special thanks to Godfrey and Joshua for making our stay extra special....

Nice location for us, we got in very late and the mgmt had two employees waiting for us. Our room was up a narrow spiral staircase , and the staff brought up the bags. Small hotel maybe 16 rooms, we were in #12. At night we could hear the ocean, about 3 blocks away. Beds were comfortable but the most...

Antony, John and the delightful team at Blackheath Lodge set the benchmark incredibly high during our week in Cape Town leading up to the New Year. Our light, bright, spacious and sunny upstairs room was beautifully appointed - more like a small apartment - with ample space and a balcony with sea glimpses. We enjoyed the little niceties of being...

We arrived around 9am Sunday morning after flying over 24 hours to get to South Africa and were greeted by a friendly staff and great breakfast. The lodge is very quaint as every room is different and has unique styles to them but all very modern. The bathrooms were modern as well as clean which is something I look for!...

We last stayed in Blackheath Lodge 6 years ago and then described it as an inspired choice. So on our return to Cape Town where else would we stay? And once again the whole experience was an inspired choice. We emailed Antony saying that we wanted 11 nights in Cape Town area and asking for suggestions. He came back with...

It was lovely to see you back again after being away for so long. Thank you for your kind words. We are improving Blackheath Lodge all the time and as the way people travel, we have to move with the times.
