Upon our arrival at the Blackheath Lodge we were warmly greeted and immediately offered a glass of wine, which we so appreciated after a busy day of traveling. This is one of the most gracious and cozy lodgings you will find in Cape Town. It is an easy 30 minute walk to the V&A waterfront and there are numerous excellent...

Antony, John and the delightful team at Blackheath Lodge set the benchmark incredibly high during our week in Cape Town leading up to the New Year. Our light, bright, spacious and sunny upstairs room was beautifully appointed - more like a small apartment - with ample space and a balcony with sea glimpses. We enjoyed the little niceties of being...

Each visit to Cape Town includes a few nights at this small hotel. Excellent rooms, lots of attention to details, good beds, wifi that works, parking, super breakfast and a very attentive and professional staff. We may be back !

After 20+ hours of flying we arrived at the Blackheath Lodge at midnight to find welcoming staff to greet us. During our entire 6 night stay we were pampered and made to feel welcome and at home. The entire staff was so accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful we able to relax and truly enjoy the city and it's sights without having...

An extremely quirky, comfortable, small lodge offering great rooms, wonderful staff and a great breakfast! The location in a residential area within a few blocks a few restaurants and the beach, is perfect. The 45 minute walk along the promenade to the Waterfront is very scenic. In short, we are extremely happy we stayed at the Blackheath Lodge and if...

I recently spent 3 nights here and I couldn't have asked for a more welcoming place to stay in Cape Town. The lodge is in a good location, walking distance to the beach and easy to catch the red bus from here. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was very good, but it's the staff that truly earns...

A great place to go. We were warmly welcomed and guided to our room. The ambiance is nice and the room is clean. It is like a little oasis in the city and you really feel comfortable. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, all of them, including the little dog. The pool is small, but I dont think you...

Cosy quiet little guest house in a residential part of town but close to main thoroughfares and the promenade on the beach. Quick cab ride (unicab) into town. (40-70 rand depending on the honesty of the driver - uber about 25-30). Lovely back courtyard and pool though no one swam the whole time we were there (early march). Rooms vary...

We were in Cape Town for 6 days and were so glad we stayed at Blackheath Lodge. It is wonderful boutique hotel with an amazing staff. After we got settled on the day we arrived, Karin sat down with us to go over what we planned to do while in Cape Town. She offered suggestions and made dinner reservations for...
