A corner of pure England grafted on Cape Town, dressed with some exotic flavour. The house is located perfectly, mostly if you should like to test and taste the restaurants and bars of the Gardens area, but it is quite close also to the CBD. There is no garage, but you can feel absolutely confident and park your car in... More

If you want comfort and service and be in the best neighborhood in Capetown - Liberty Lodge has it all. We spent 6 nights at Liberty Lodge and from the moment we arrived, Ruth, the owner, was a continual source of information about the city. EVERYTHING that she recommended was a winner. Waking up to views of Table Mountain right... More

Ruth at Liberty Lodge provided us with the perfect 'second honeymoon'.  Her stylish, Victorian guesthouse is perfectly situated within walking distance of lovely and interesting, assorted cares, bars and restaurants. Ruth is full of local knowledge and provides a homely but immaculate place to stay. Great breakfasts too. We'll definitely come back and thoroughly recommend this charming guesthouse and hostess.

What a lovely place - could not have asked for a warmer welcome. It's a cozy yet elegant, beautiful place. The breakfast was superb. Ruth, the host, could not have done more for me. The only downside was not having tea and coffee facilities in the room itself - I was reluctant to use the facilities on the landing when... More

We (two couples) spent four nights here and were very happy. The location, as everyone else has noted, is great - so close to Table Mountain and an easy, extremely safe walk to some fine restaurants, both casual and upmarket. Breakfasts were lovely, esp. in the pretty courtyard, weather permitting. Ruth was very helpful with bookings and advice, as were... More

We spent 5 wonderful days in Cape Town. This Lodge together and Ruth, its owner, as well as Liza and Nina (her assistants) had a big share of responsibility for it. I was celebrating my 60th aniversary accompanied by my son and a firend and we were all very tired. The nice house, the warm reception, the wonderful breakfasts, the... More

After a recommendation from a friend we spent three nights at LIberty Lodge and we were very happy with our choice. Ruth, the owner, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and ensure that you enjoy all that Cape Town has to offer, from day trips to resturants, including making bookings and sorting taxis. Lisa also provides... More

Over the years, this classic Cape Town bed & breakfast has earned an enviable reputation for relaxed and genuine hospitality. Originally a Victorian gentleman's house, Liberty Lodge became a fabric emporium and even a bordello in the 1940s! Today, it combines a skillful mix of Victorian, Art Deco and contemporary decor, with some stunning feature pieces. Perfectly situated to make the most of your Cape Town holiday or business trip, Liberty Lodge sits on the lower slopes between Table Mountain cable car station and Cape Town CBD. Restaurants and cafes abound in trendy Tamboerskloof and tourist sights are in close proximity. The four uniquely decorated rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and heaters, an electronic wall safe, hairdryer, a range of toiletries and most importantly comfortable beds! Complimentary wi-fi and safe on street parking is available. A hearty hot and cold breakfast is served every morning to set you up for the day either inside or outside in the charming ground-floor greenery courtyard. This homely Tamboerskloof Bed and Breakfast provides your respite from a busy day and is run by owner, Ruth Parsons, who extends a warm, personal welcome.
