I booked this hotel last minute, and was in town for a conference. I walked into the room only to find there was no shower! No shower, ho hair dryer, no bar fridge. I asked if there was another room with a shower and they showed me to the handicapped room in the basement! Why would you even have rooms...

I'm just back from a 4 night stay in the Cape Diamond Hotel and would really recommend it. Initially we were looking to stay in a hostel but, because of the high season, there were few to choose from and Cape Diamond ended up being the cheapest option. We were hesitant to book (thinking that hotels are usually impersonal) however...

I stayed in the Cape Diamond from 19th - 21st November 2013. The hotel has a neat and pleasant aura about it. The staff were friendly and willing to help anytime. Having gone back to my base, I have only fond memories of my stay at the Cape Diamond.

We stayed here in November 2013 for 3 nights at the end of a lovely cruise. The staff were lovely and downstairs was small but attractive and the food was very nice. However, the bedroom was depressing and the bathroom (a wet room) was horrible with dark slate tiles on both floor (acceptable) and walls (surely not). It was like...

I advised the hotel that I have had a total knee replacement and would need some assistance in the event that areas are accessible via stairs. Well, within a few hours of sending the note under special comments in my electronic booking I had an email and a telephone call from Sasha to enquire as to the extent of my...

While officially rated 3 star, I would rate it 3 star plus, for the excellent value and location this hotel offers. It is situated in the vibey city centre, within easy walking distance to major sightseeing locations and public transport. A renovated office building, rooms are compact but functional. Service was friendly and efficient and breakfast was good. Downsides are:...

We went during September 2013 via a Groupon voucher. Place looked like a dream in the pics, but just wait until you get there! Firstly the hotel has no parking of its own, we had to park a few blocks away and walk from there to go and check-in. The receptionist was so unprofessional, treated us like we were her...
