We stayed 2 nights at Zebra Crossing and it was a great place, the hosts are very helpful and Bronwyn in the cafe is a wealth of knowledge, it is clean, tidy and the bed and pillows were just like home. It is central to the sights like Table Mountain, and a 5 minute walk to long street. Highly recommend... More

Our staying here was fine but our major point here was our car. The staff told us it would be safe on the parking lot some distance away but next morning a window was smashed and what was still in our car was gone! Should have told us we should speak to security that is present but only looks after... More

I stayed there for a couple nights, and it was a pretty good stay. The staff was really nice, always available to help you and give you ideas about what to do in the city. It's well located, very close to the Table Mountain and the Lion's Head. Although the internet didn't work very well in the room, the overall... More

Chose to stay here because being a bit away from Long St suggested it might offer more peace and quiet, and that turned out to be exactly right. More importantly it's just a really lovely hostel - in very good condition with comfortable furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen, excellent wifi, and best of all lovely lovely people. The owner Darryl is... More

My friends and I came to Cape Town to do some personal travel after a study abroad program and chose to stay here for six nights. The accommodation is great! Hot showers every night and a clean bed to sleep in. I always felt safe in Zebra Crossing. Stacey and Katherine were also wonderful help in planning our excursions! Crummy... More

Organised trip from the uk with our university. The hostel was good and cheap, and only a few minutes walk away from the town area. Very secure and staff friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are wanting a cheap basic accommodation for a few days.

Dirty bed sheets....even after request for clean ones, still had stains, no atmosphere, one gets the impression someone owns and runs this begrudgingly.....sorry......no love here. Good hot showers though, generally clean besides bed linen. Good position and surrounded by strong competitors.

As soon as we walked through the door we felt as home. A very relaxed and laid back hostel. The dorms were super quiet and comfortable. The hostel is really close to Kloof Street and it is possible to walk to V&A. There is a choice of parking in the hostel carpark (Non secure & hard to get out of)... More

We had a short but nice stay at the backpackers. The rooms were clean, comfy and neat. We had a beer and coffee at the little café. The security was top notch and the staff are really friendly. My only suggestion is to get some frontline for the local cat.
