We spent 8 nights in this lovely guesthouse in a nice suburb not far from the centre. It was extremely comfortable and welcoming. Great breakfast, great service, complimentary fruit, coffee, sherry. Lovely garden and pool, great sea views. Nothing too much trouble for the host, Stefan. Easy street parking and a short, uncomplicated drive to all the main sights. The...

After spending nearly a month traveling in Africa , we wanted to stay at a local Cape Town B&B instead of a typical hotel on the V & A waterfront. Huijs Haerlem was the perfect place for us. Comfortable rooms, old world charm, beautiful gardens, stunning views, close to good restaurants and beautiful beaches, about 2 mile walk or cab...

This quaint little place was recommended to us. Our experience was very comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast is very good with good choices. Nice section of Cape Town. Staff was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend for your stay in Cape Town.

Spent our first two nights in Cape Town here. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Very welcoming. Beautiful view from the garden and pool. Our room was very clean, the bathroom was good (this is an important point for me). Slight glitch when a water main burst in an adjoining street but managed to get around this. Well situated...

If you want to stay in a cosy smaller tranquil hotel in Capetown; this is your choice! The 6 bedroom hotel has a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful garden with swimmingpool overlooking the ocean. I stay during the week in business hotels, so this spot is the opposite though still having all the luxury you need! I will come back...

Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Lovely swimming pool in a well-kept garden overlooking the sea. Good, residential area. Very helpful and friendly host, Stefan. Maps and list of local restaurants provided. All staff friendly too. Relaxed atmosphere. A five minute walk downhill leads to the main road with shops and restaurants and then after a couple of minutes more, you are...

From the moment these 2 weary travellers walked through the door - we were made to feel at home and welcome. Then we turned towards the window and saw THE VIEW. All the way down to the ocean front and all the way to Robben Island - beautiful. Stefan was a wonderful host, along with Johan, Patrick and the ladies...

very nice place in Cape Town, beautiful garden, small breakfast room, so the contact with other guests is easily made. Very helpful staff. Huys Haerlem looks really cosy with the library and the sweet dogs.

We stayed for 1 night in Cape Town. Huijs Haerlem is a nice and restful place. Not far from downtown (you need a car or a cab indeed). Stefan was very helpful to give some tips and help us. Definitely a place we would stay at again. Christophe and Jérôme (Switzerland)
