Awesome setting and view. We loved everything about it. We never cooked there other than tea/coffee but I can imagine that we may have needed a few more kitchen utensils had we been cooking. Beds are comfortable but pillows are very flat, next time I will bring my own.

Such a beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to see both the wild horses and the Flamingo's. We stayed in bungalow 5 which was set out of the wind but without a view, however steps up to the seating area afforded superb views of the bay. The bottle of wine was a nice touch and much appreciated as was...

My husband and I had a lovely weekend at Flamingo Lake. The location was perfect. We loved sitting in our garden watching the sunset and the birds. The accommodation met all our needs. Comfortable and clean, fully equipped kitchen. Added bonuses were a complimentary bottle of wine, use of the kayaks and being able to check out in the afternoon....

Once again we had a wonderful weekend away at Flamingo Lake. It was even more beautiful than we remembered it. My hubby was saying we should make it a more regular getaway and I agree. Even my 18 year old appreciated the beauty of the place and the comfort of the accommodation. Rondavel 3 had everything we needed with a...

We really enjoyed our stay and Rondavel much nicer and clean and comfortable than expected, with a bottle of wine as a welcome. Walks across to the dunes and beach was awesome! The bridge was broken but managed it. No flamingos any more and the horses were seen by us in Kleinmond, not far away, but still would return and...

The facility has good access control and security. We found the accommodation to be tastefull and comfortable. This is a lovely private retreat close enough to drive comfortably to quite a few attractions in and around the area.

lovely log cabin overlooking the lagoon. Lots of birds to see & other wildlife. Such a pity the bridge to the sea was still waiting to be repaired. Nearest restaurant is 5 -10 minutes drive away so made use of the facilities to cook meals on alternate days.

Hi Stephanie, It was lovely meeting you and glad you enjoyed your stay. They have finally repaired the bridge and one can now get across the lagoon to the beach again. I am just sorry you missed that! Regards, Lee

We arrived at Flamingo Lake to find we had been upgraded to a lovely big house on the lake - the house was very well equipped - the view was lovely - although the wind was terrible - but then again we were there in winter. Overall it's a great place to chill and just relax :)

When we arrived it was dark, cold and raining. Our first impressions were slightly marred by this and the fact that we had just spent 3 nights in a 5 star hotel room with marble bathrooms and floors!! This lodge is much more rustic with wooden external doors and an older looking kitchen and bathroom but dont be put off...
