It was almost fun to hear my city-dwelling, well-traveled son remark: "Mom, 5 minutes after we asked for 4 late-order bags of firewood, they were on our stoep! Now that's service and it’s done with warmth and friendliness. The 5 wood & iron cottages (3 of which the family occupied) reminded us of a bygone era of peace and quiet... More

An impeccably kept, immaculate and extraordinarily well run get away. Ronel is like an old friend and her attention to detail runs through every single aspect of the cabins. A pleasure to stay there . Abundant walks and nature excursions in the magnificent indigenous forest make for an idyllic time away.

We arrived at sunset at the Froggy Pond cottage which is ideally situated right next to a pond covered in water lillies and inhabited by a number of frogs (although we never saw any). The cottage lights were already switched on and the inside fire laid when we arrived. The cottage was immaculate and luxuriously appointed - we loved the... More

We arrived at dusk to the most romantic forest cottage set at the forest's edge. Ronel is extremely well organized and had already switched the lights on for us. The cottage, built in the style of the woodcutters of old, was immaculate and luxuriously appointed. Everything and all information we needed was provided for in the cottages. It was incredible...
