We loved our stay, the suite was beautifully decorated and the view were stunning. Spa treatment was good too. Food was tasty and very fairly prices. Mashie golf and other activities make for a super family getaway. We will be back.

Our room was a little dark but this may be welcome come the summer. The breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the gardens was lovely and enhanced by bread/cakes baked in the stone oven. The mashie golf course was good for beginners/kids. Staff were all very friendly and cheerful. Fiddly wifi was a minor drawback.

My children and I recently made Blackwaters River Lodge our overnight stop on our way to Witsand. The staff were very friendly and the accommodation excellent. The room was big enough to accommodate all 3 of us comfortably and the chocolate truffles at bed time a real treat. Unfortunately it was raining at the time so we weren't able to...

I actually do not want to post a favourable review, as I am hesitant to rave about this great family restaurant and do not want to alert everybody to this hidden gem! Spectacular family afternoon! Well worth the visit.

Had a pleasant stay, excellent Service and good food. Room Nr 8's bathroom needs a makeover,a bit old fashioned. The canoeing on the river was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the delicious picnic basket. Everything was prepared and ready on time. The therapists at the spa were very friendly, but the treatment/massage was not up to standard. We had...

We stayed here for one night during our garden route tour. We were not disappointed the rooms were beautifully decorated and such nice touches with local port and treats in the room and also in the bar where you could have a port on the house. The restaurant was so nice and the staff were very friendly. There is a...

Our large room was luxurious with verandah overlooking the pool and river, monkeys came there to play in the morning. The breakfasts were superb and the dining facility described as home cooking...

This was a beautiful and very relaxing place to stay following a hectic week in Cape Town. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. We were offered a welcoming glass of port on our arrival, and there were other lovely touches including a small carafe of sherry, chocolates and liquor provided in our room (together with bottles...

A very relaxing 4 night stay at the end of our holiday. We were welcomed and shown to reception where we were offered a choice of 2 cold drinks while we checked in. Winnet then showed us to our room which was river view room 1 and a really lovely large room with a huge bathroom and kitchen area. The...
