Upon arrival we were told that we were being upgraded!! I don't know what our original cabin looked like, but the one we got was great! It was double story - lounge, kitchen and a bathroom downstairs, bedroom with balcony and another bathroom upstairs. The view from the balcony is stunning! The whole feel of the place is cozy and... Even is far from the beach you have a nice views of the lagoon. The lodge was Ok nothing WOW but the service was poor. Nobody on the reception to assist clients. And they propose us to have breakfast and we accepted but then they declined because there's no restaurant as we ordered just eggs and the woman who assisted... More

My husband and I sayed over for 3 nights at Abalone lodges in Knysna. We had a very comfortable stay. The unit had a fully equipped kitchenette and we were provided with coffee, tea, sugar and ice in the freezer. There was a daily housekeeping service who cleaned (everything including dirty dishes) and replaced our towels with fresh ones while... More

As Knysna is famous for its forest and all things wooden I chose to stay here to experience a wooden lodge. The lodges were not expensive so I was apprehensive as to their comfort. So glad I chose establishment. The lodges were superb in terms of comfort, cleanliness and amines. My room was spacious with lots of cupboards and a... More

Abalone Lodges is well equipped for a self catering place to stay in Knysna. The rooms are log cabin styled with a spacious bedroom, separate bathroom and reasonably equipped kitchenette. The equipment in the room (TV, stovetop) were a little outdated but worked OK. The bed was comfortable and warm. The rooms also have a small balcony which looks over... More

Stayed here for four nights, and the staff are very professional. The view is beautiful, especially when the fog starts rolling in from the ocean. It's quite magical to wake up to Knysna covered in fog. The kitchenette is adequate and the quarters are a bit cramped in the single rooms but the balcony view made up for it.

Beautiful Rooms. Stunning Views. Lovely welcome and very helpful staff. Brilliant Self catering area with a large fridge. We didn't get a chance to go in the pool but that looked lovely as well. Very secure with brilliant undercover parking. It was so much more than we expected and we were highly impressed. We would definitely go back soon.

We stayed here for 5 days on our honeymoon. What a stunning lodge with amazing views of the lagoon and the knysna heads. Close to all the restaurants and the waterfront but far enough for a quiet evening on the balcony. The lodge itself was amazing. With a spa bath and wall heater in the bedroom we enjoyed our stay...
