We really liked the fact that this was such a different hotel with the way it had incorporated the old machinery into the every day working of the hotel. Service was good breakfast exellent and rooms a good size and nice and modern. Shame we didnt have a bacolny but they only have so many so if you want one...

We enjoyed staying in this unusual and quirky hotel for 3 nights. The room on the 1st night was a small standard room with a high window overlooking the car park which we didn't like, but the Management was able to upgrade us to a larger room with floor to ceiling windows and a view of the canal on the...

We stayed for two nights on a motorbike trip on the Garden Route. This hotel was recommended and booked by the motorbike hire company. Knysna was just a convenient stop. We had no particular interest in being there and, from a brief look around the town centre, it does not seem to be an attractive place. The hotel is outside...

A wonderful Hotel with a superb Restaurant. The staff were attentive knowleable re menu and wines and when we asked to share a main course(due to size of portions) there was no problem. Quality of food was perfect presentation spot on and wines good. Difficult to expect more. Well worth a visit.

An old wood processing factory which had been lovingly restored and retained many original artefacts including kiln, overhead crane and generators etc. Nice pool area except for music. Lovely common rooms and restaurant serving excellent meals. Local shops etc were good especially on waterfront but a car is needed. Room was incredible and even a cake for my wife's birthday....

This hotel is in a great location, has great views, with great food (dinner specifically, breakfast was a bit of a letdown). We simply loved the very unique architecture as the hotel used to be a old power station and most historical elements have been restored. As it is located on Thesen Island, it sort of feels like an Island...

What a great place to stay, so sympathetically restored from an old power station but with many of the old turbines and gizmos saved and lovingly built into the new, very smart design. Great location on the marina with lots of shops bars and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is lovely too and the breakfasts very filling. The spa is gorgeous...
