We first stayed at Amanzi in 2011 and it was the obvious choice for us to return to when we arranged a return trip to get married on the Leisure Isle. In the interim, the management team had changed as the owners had returned to manage the lodge and we were a bit worried that it wouldn't feel the same... More

Ahh Shelley and Terry It's hard to write a response to your review without sounding trite, but it really is a case of "the pleasure is all ours". We are blessed to have you two lovelies stay with us, and all the relaxed joy and warmth that you radiate each time you walk through the front door. (Ahem, Terry that... More

Helen, ably assisted by Sue and Margaret are at the helm at this gorgeous Lodge. We had a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. We had room 1 which had its own entrance off the beach, and the room led onto its own private patio area with loungers. The room was very well equipped; comfortable; clean, efficient showering facilities,... More

We're delighted that the Amanzi magic has had its way with you, and we're looking forward to welcoming you both back again soon! p.s. Despite your short stay the bench in the reception feels strangely empty without you both here for a post-breakfast chat ;) More

This is such a lovely place: we stayed here in January, unfortunately only for one night though, which was way too short. Try and get room number 4: it has a fantastic view of the lagoon and the heads, as well as a balcony which is perfect for sundowners. We happily sat there for most of the evening (it helps... More

This was our second visit to Amanzi and we were not disappointed, as the guest house and friendly staff were as good, if not better than we remembered. From the first to last minute, everyone looked after us like we were family, with an added edge of being made to feel like really special guests. We had the garden flat... More

After reading some previous reveiws before our visit in October, we were a little apprehensive as we were staying in the ground floor room - however, from the moment we were greated by Cathy our stay was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and very, very comfortable with a great view toward the lagoon. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was... More

We celebrated Christmas at Amanzi with our friends and we couldn't have had it any better! The views, the service, tranquil surroundings - all added up to a perfect holiday. Enough space for the kids to run and play, 5 minutes from Knysna centre, spacious rooms and the list goes on. Thanks to Helene and the team for an unforgettable... More

So here we are after another wonderfully relaxing 7 nights at Amanzi; second time within a year and it shows how much we love this beautiful lodge at the shores of the Knysna lagoon. The "old" team with Helen, Sue and Margaret are back (and Mojo, of course), and it even felt better than the first time. The location is... More

The Lodge is situated a few km outside of Knysna on Leisure Island, oberlooking the lagoon. The situation is exceptionally beautiful, the owners are lovely, the place is in very good shape. Breakfast on the balkony is just perfect. They even have a pool, although the sea is in front of the house

Oh yes, better to misspell it. The reality is that. A place where you regret if the reservation is only for one night, as in our case. A stay of just one night (unfortunately fully booked further) was absolutely great, thanx. Will be back, soon I hope… The lodge is amazing, neat, clean, well-furnished and most of all the service is the best. The personal touch makes it all the better. Thanx again Helen Ahmed Kara
