Perfectly located on Leisure Isle where you can swim in the water directly outside the property when the tide is in and get a beautiful view of the sunset. Hosts were very friendly and keen to share their local knowledge. They keep a book of previous guests reviews of the many restaurants at Knysna. Don't miss out on the bikes...

Thanks for the great review! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay - albeit a brief one. Hope to see you both back again soon (for a bit longer of course)!

We've stayed in many B&Bs but this is one of the very best. Wonderful accommodation, excellent breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the lagoon, the use of bicycles to cycle round the island, and lots of information about places to visit. But our abiding memory is of the very warm welcome we had from our delightful hostess and her daughter.

Amanzi Lodge is just as you arrive on Leisure Isle on the Knysna Lagoon. A breathtaking area, scenery is stunning, and what made it a wonderful stay was staying at Amanzi Lodge, a first class B & B. We had a ground floor room with a patio area, our room was of a very high standard, and the staff and...

Thank you for the review and great to hear you'll be back again! Yep, once you've stayed on Leisure Isle you'll never want to be anywhere else in Knysna! And the Standard Room on the ground floor is perfect for those who'd like to save a few bob but still enjoy all the Amanzi perks - thank you for letting...

Amanzi Lodge is on an island with only one road leading to it. The B&B is on the edge of the Knysna lagoon with spectacular views over tthe water to the Heads. Our room (Room 3) was amazingly comfortable and had two bathrooms, a balcony and the great view. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we were sad...

This was a trip to share my country of birth with my children, and what a trip it was! Knysna was our third stop on the garden route and Amanzi Lodge couldn't have been a better place to spend three nights( I was it could have been longer). The location on Leisure Island overlooking the lagoon was superb. Our rooms were...

My husband and I loved our stay so much at Amanzi Lodge we came back again, this time bringing 5 friends. Overlooking the stunning lagoon, there's no better place to stay in Knysna. Situated in a peaceful and tranquil location, the beautiful rooms are a great size, the breakfast is delicious - I have only good things to say about...

On our 2 visits to South Africa we have stayed in about 15 Guest Houses which generally tend to be of a very good standard. However, in our opinion, the Amanzi Island Lodge is 'simply the best". It has an absolutely wonderful position right on the lagoon on Leisure Island. Very comfortable rooms with every facility and (from our room)...

We ended our trip to South Africa at the Amanzi Island Lodge and could not have chosen a better place to relax. The location was perfect, directly overlooking the lagoon and our room was very comfortable. The "three ladies" were perfect hostesses who were extremely solicitous and helpful. We were sorry to have to leave there and would certainly recommend...

Great location on an Island in the Knysna Lagoon. Excellent welcome from the 3 ladies running the Guest House, nothing is too much of a problem for them. Very good suggestions for Dinner. Great breakfasts, the best we had during stays in 9 Guest Houses in South Africa..
