We didn't stay here, or dine here, but the terrace is a lovely place to have a drink and take in the view, ideal if you're driving round to Cape Point. The hotel is surrounded by lovely woodland scenery, and from the terrace you get a view of Noordhoek beach and the ocean. We stopped off for a mid-morning cuppa,... More

A bit overpriced for the state of everything, but stunning location makes up for a lot of the mishaps and the pizza was delicious. Stayed for 2 nights, will probably go somewhere else if we return but was interesting and different.

We stayed in one of the self catering cottages. The carpets were very dirty, the drainage was blocked in the shower. The shower curtain was dirty, and there was alot of hair on the drainage outlet. The dinner table was still dirty, and the dishwasher wasn't working. The room next to us party until the early morning hours, which was... More

It's possible to make a long list of things that doesn't work at Monkey Valley, from room standard/quality to the coffee that may be the worst in the Western Cape. It's also an isolated place. You must have a car to be there. Nonetheless is it totally unique place, like a jungle village with hubs on a steep slope and... More

just a perfect place to indulge in the sunset over the beach .... we continuously had nice food, wine and very attentive service. Just sit, relax and watch the sunset. Although it was very windy, the restaurant is perfectly calm.

We had a great time at the Monkey Valley Resort restaurant where we enjoyed a superb sunset with a wonderful view on Noordhoek beach. The fish combo was very fresh and the Hartenberg Sauvignon blanc tip top - not to forget a very friendly service. Finally the DJ did a very good job with a super choice of hits from... More

3 nights in a cottage with family. Cottage was like a tree house/log cabin; thatch roof, wooden everything, stupendous view from rooms and deck down the hillside and across the 3 mile beach watching the rollers break on the shore and single figures walking their dogs along the surf line. Dinner on the main hotel deck watching sun down over... More

We stayed here 15 years ago with our three children. Cottages were rustic and in amongst trees on the edge of the national park. We all loved it. Visited for a lunch time drink 15 years on - minus the children this time. Still a great view, and rustic charm. It was very busy with lunches, but staff were pleasant... More

Dear Travelers, Please don't even waste your time browsing through the "Monkey Valley Resort" website. It's a joint for the locals and not for foreigners as we are not used or have not grown up in a racist environment. The employees are rude who have no education on how to interact with the guests. The managers are only interested in... More

We went to Thorfyns on Saturday 13 Feb for our pre-Valentines dinner! WOW! The food and service was both fantastic! Darren greeted us at the door, and during the evening, checked on us often. Leoni was top notch with her service and attention to detail. We had a 3 course meal with some wine and our evening was just fantastic!... More
