This delightful guest house accommodation is worth the short trip from Oudtshoorn. The guest house is set in beautiful gardens complete with a swimming pool. The accommodation, dining and bar areas are well presented and maintained. Our room was a converted stable, complete with stable door. The rustic charm of the room was memorable, although the ceiling height is quite...

We stayed here for one night as part of the Garden Route tour and wished we could have stayed longer. The accommodation has a rustic charm to it. We stayed in Room 7 which led off from a delightful sitting room which was shared with two other rooms. There is a rusticity about the accommodation so don't expect perfection but...

17 Sep – Garden Route – This is a nice guest house and is worth a one night stay as after the caves there is not a lot more to do around here. The lounge dining area is very nice but the food is unremarkable. 3/5

When we first arrived, I was very impressed with the gardens and the layout of the property. The welcome was friendly and the rooms were very nice, however, we are a couple and were given twin beds and a small room. A single lady in our group was given a large room with a queen size bed, the other members...

I have stayed plenty of times here over the last view years, but unfortunately this time around, not so good. Firstly the heating was a problem for the evening and also no extra blankest in the room and I visited smack in the middle of winter. I only realized my situation from my return from dinner. But the overall stay...

Stayed 1 night as part of a tour group. We were told that our rooms would all be warm, but of course ours wasn't. Eventually got the heating going but during the night we did light the lively wood fire that was already to go in our room. This place us quite unusual to say the least. It has great...

A quaint and interesting hotel - but rooms terribly cold. Interesting to have touches of ostrich leather throughout the room. Bathroom nicely appointed. Air conditioning in rooms makes very little difference in winter and the open fire adds ambience - but little heat. Be careful if using the fire for heat as a top up of wood costs 150 Rand!!...

After a visit to the nearby Cango Caves we arrived here late afternoon for a 1 night stay.We were welcomed by the restaurant manager and the owner and shown to our room which was originally the milking shed. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom had a separate shower and whirlpool bath. There was also a seating area with a...

Most reviews use the term quirky which I would agree with but all of my family found it to be our kind of quirky. We were in Cape Town prior to here and wanted a contrast which it was with its quiet rural setting and rustic charm. The staff were very helpful and welcoming e.g.the agents had sent through the...
