We were very pleasantly surprised by this splendid accommodation near Oudtshoorn. Everything was perfect, from the reception to the delicious steaks and breakfast chef Alfred. Our cottage exceeded our expectations, very spacious and luxurious with a private pool. Our two year old son was more than welcome, they did everything to make him comfortable and he still talks about Alfred,...

We were looking so forward to this stay. We chose a more expensive place to stay so we could have the best, as it was our little romantic getaway. I think one time this was a lovely place. But everything was a disappointment. Our room was okay, clean, nice linen. Bath was a jet bath, did not work. No where...

We stayed at Montana Guest Farm while doing selfdriving tour in South Africa. We arrived an enthusiastic welcome from Wolfgang and Dagmar. After we were shown our room we had a lovely swim to cool off. The main house is an old colonial, verandahed home, with the guest rooms located in 3 separate buildings across the lawn. Our bedroom was...

We stayed at the Montana Guest Farm for 1 night in May, during a 10-day Roadtrip through South Africa and enjoyed the hospitality of owner Wolfgang a lot! We were welcomed with a nice glass of Sherry and had a great ostrich fillet for dinner, followed by a very nice chat with other guests and the owner. We were there...

We found this jewel by coincidence. booked in for one night - stayed two and would have stayed longer if we would have had the time! Very generous guest rooms in a beautiful setting with lovely vegetation and a pool. Dagi and Wolfgang made us feel very much at home, both evenings there was a welcome bottle of fizz for...

We stayed over at Montana on the 2nd of August. It was my friends birthday and Wolfgang was an incredible host. We wined and dined with him. We had so much fun. Alfred prepared the most amazing ostrich fillet for us. Our suite was beautiful. Outside the huge cactus and breathtaking views.. it was only a pleasure to wake up...

One of my favourite areas in the whole world. The lodge has some really luxurious touches but is a little let down by bad maintenance. A very average breakfast. I didn't have dinner. Grounds are really good for kids with plenty of space and 2 really nice swimming pools (needed in mid-summer).

Having passed through a lot of hotels on this trip through South Africa, I know that there are only a few I will still remember ten years from now, and Montana is definitely one of them. The German owners, as previous reviewers have mentioned, are absolute characters. Very funny, gregarious and endearing. I had booked my stay on a whim...

We dropped by quite by coincidence and got the most beautiful room you could imagine (cactus room). The staff was very attentive and friendly - we immediately felt at home. The owner of the place unites all guests for a family-style dinner in the evenings, starting with a glass of sparkling wine. He really cares for his guests and he...
