This was a lovely place to stop over The room had lovely decor and the bathroom large . The pool was a welcome treat after a day in the heat. The table place settings were exquisite and reflected a bygone era. Food was good Tried the ostrich steak, not my favorite but it might be for some Very accommodating staff.

Lovely new accommodation built on this ostrich farm. We stayed in one of the new suites which had a small patio. Some of the other rooms are small. The best thing about La Plume is a tour of the ostrich farm with the owner to learn about how ostriches are reared and the business of ostrich farming. The lovely new...

La Plume guest house is an Ostrich farm 18kms from Oudtshoorn. It is remote and unless you wish to pay the 180ZR taxi fare to go and dine out you are trapped there( plus the 180 back again ) . The accommodation is beautiful, spacious , well equipped and the staff willing. The views over the farms are engaging and...

This is a wonderful hotel on an authentic and currently working ostrich farm. It has very luxurious rooms in small buildings separate from the main farmhouse. It is completely furnished with antiques so it has an old world feel, but fear not....with all the mod cons, including wifi (slow but adequate) electricity of course and mini bar etc. The staff...

The room we were allocated to did not have a working toilet. Basically it would not flush as the mechanism was completely broken. We complained and the gardener came and fiddled with it, I then asked to change rooms. All the management would say is they have called a plumber. As the hours went on we finally called our travel...

My wife and I stayed one night at La Plume during our tour of the Garden Route. The Guest house accommodation is very well appointed, has beautiful rooms, and has a swimming pool. We had for some reason no water in our bathroom when we arrived but it was attended to effectively. The Restaurant is well appointed - but the...

Visited the La Plume Guesthouse in Oudshoorn. I shall keep this brief. Outstanding. Setting was lovely. The food was amazing and the rooms were superbly decorated. We even borrowed bikes to have a ride around. The best accommodation on our holiday by far.

This accommodation is modestly called a guest house, it is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in. The welcome was second to none, wine, soft drinks offered whilst they arranged our keys and registration. The gardens are beautifully tended and have various areas to sit. There is a pool with beds etc. We stayed in Byocks this was...
