Enjoyed amazing afternoon tea on the verandah upon arrival after visiting the Cango Caves.Explored the well maintained grounds while on our way to visit 250 ostrich chicks before enjoying a delicious dinner beautifully presented in the lovely dining room.

Situated at about 15 km from Oudtshoorn, the world capital of ostriches, this country lodge is simply fantastic. Surrounded by nature, the lodge offers fully equipped rooms and cottages. Our cottage, with a nice terrace facing the well mantained garden, was clean, spacious and very quiet. The Lodge has also a swimmingpool and wi-fi in the room. The restaurant, built in...

We were pleasantly surprised by our lovely family unit which was clean and tastefully decorated, had airconditioning and plenty fluffy towels and extra blankets for the cold. Kids had a ball playing with the bunnies and loved meeting the other animals. We will definitely be back !

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Cango Caves. We were sat on the lovely verandah and had a very good and friendly waiter called Proud. The food was very pleasant - I had a nice traditional bobotie and the burgers were tasty. It made for a perfect break between sightseeing.

On route from Arniston to Kimberley we decided to stay over for a night. What a perfect ending to our holiday!!!! Pristine setting in the Swartberg moutains with gorgeous gardens and views of the mountains is enough to make one want to stay forever. You hear the water flowing down to a river and deer came to visit. The chalet...

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Buffelsdrift and Cango Caves. It's very well located for the attractions along the Cango Valley and for getting into Oudtshoorn. We booked a double self catering unit which was OK but a bit basic and would certainly benefit from renovation. The restaurant on site is very good with friendly staff...

We only stayed one night, taking a double self catering unit. Two x double bedrooms, each en-suite, linked across the front with a well equipped kitchen and lounge area, with sliding doors to a patio facing an open grass area. All very clean and smart, the grounds are well kept and the swimming pool looked clean and inviting, had we...

we didn't stay at de Oude Meul, but ate at the restaurant and were very impressed. The portions of food were generous and very tasty and the service was efficient, with all the staff being friendly and helpful. The prices are average, the food is definitely worth it and the menu has a large selection of food types.
