We stayed at De Leeuwenhof for 1 week in March. We felt very welcome, safe and enjoyed the good service and food. The guesthouse is managed by a very nice family. They provided an excellent service, told us a lot about their life in South Africa and what they do to maintain the guesthouse, farmland, etc. In the evening the...

De Leeuwenhof is acceptable for an overnight stay. We booked De Leeuwenhof based on the reviews and we honestly cannot understand the rave reviews? The room was clean and neat. However, we did not have any toiletries - not even a soap? The room in the Barnyard where we stayed was quite dark. We stayed in many B&B's along Route...

We appreciate your kind words about the clean and neat room you stayed in. The Historic Cape dutch style set-up ( est 1714 ) offers rooms with little windows, to keep the heat out. This often is experienced as dark rooms, but are intended to be so. February is our hottest month with an average 35-40 degrees and besides a...

This was our second stay at De Leeuwenhoff and the cottages that were being built then are complete and marvellous. Although there is provision for self catering, there is now a proper bar and dining facilities for breakfast and an evening meal. This is a family run business and all the members are keen to make sure that the guests...

De Leeuwenhof is basically a farmhouse-type accommodation which is located outside of Paarl. My wife and I found this to be the perfect quiet setting we were looking for. The accommodation was very nice and we found the food also very good. The farm has 5 lovely dogs so my wife was in "dog heaven" !!......and the hospitality from the...

Dear Family, Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure having you and the children with us. Especially our big pool and many animals on the farm draw their attention and even guests with a big fear for dog and cats must admit that we have the most kindly and friendly animals around. We are happy you also...

Perfect Hosts, Great food, wonderfully relaxing and in a very convenient location The perfect place from which to enjoy and explore the wine region. If all you have to complain about is the quality of the soap things must be a 9.9/10

We had stayed for a nice 10 days at the Leeuwenhof and were really happy with the accommodation. Everything was as hoped for; the only thing we were not happy with was the food. The breakfast buffet was identical for 10 days in a row. Furthermore the dinner was way too expensive for what it was.

dear family Bruno, Thank you for your review and we are glad, the personal service, setting and location, offered accommodation, daily house cleaning, internet services, laundry services and personal advice, had your positive approval. Staying 10 days on the same place takes within itself the fact, that some matters repeat. The breakfast offers a buffet with fresh local fruits and...

Lovely family-owned and run farm accommodation in Paarl. Knowledgeable, friendly owners, lovely rustic setting, authentic, nice pool, brai. Good recommendations for smaller wineries, including Mellasat for white pinotage. Thanks for a great stay
