Stayed the first four nights of March 2015 here. Positives; Great location - 30 minutes down the M12 from Cape Town airport and 10 minutes from central Stellenbosch. Modern - managed with Teutonic efficiency by Germans so well maintained and fully functioning. Relatively young clientele and a few obvious honeymooners. Great views - across vineyards and reservoirs to the mountains...

Our stay are Asara was wonderful...we hated to leave. We spent over a week there and after a day of wine tasting or touring around Stellenbosch, it was a great place to relax by the pool with a great glass/bottle of wine. The estate allows for great hikes/photography through the vineyards which is a great way to start your day....

We had a lovely holiday at the Asara Hotel. The views were to die for, the staff were so friendly and the service was second to none during our holiday in South Africa. Our room was very comfortable and the views from the balcony over the winelands were stunning. The food was lovely and the wine delicious - what's not...

We booked Asara Hotel 5 month ago: the Bell Tower Suit. No balcony, no view but: a small room and fitting room downstairs with no living area then we had to climb up around 20 steps upstairs to the bathroom and toilet with the same size as the room below. The bathroom has 2 large windows with a view to...

Lovely hotel, in a beautiful setting. Amazing views of the vineyards and mountains especially from the pool area. Our room was very spacious and had a lovel balcony. We ate in both restaurants during our stay and the food was outstanding and good value for money.

My husband decided to surprise me with an overnight visit to Asara Hotel. From the moment of our arrival we were charmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They really tried their best to welcome us and make us feel welcome. Delish breakfast served the next morning. The views from our room as well as on the breakfast...

Starting with the good points - the location, the setting and the buildings are wonderful. The entrance is on a main road just outside Stellenbosch so very easy to find, but one you pass the gates it seems as remote as any of the off-the-beaten tracks estate houses. The buildings retain the charm of a South African wine estate house...

This hotel is in an incredible location and delivers a memorable experience. The staff couldn't be more helpful and seemed genuinely interested in their guests. Every one of them had a cheery smile for us. The room was luxurious (room 114), as one would expect for the price charged, and the grounds were immaculately kept. The wine-tasting was very well...

Asara is a lovely spot, dining on the terrace overlooking the lake and beyond to the Stellenbosch mountains. The food is well prepared and served, the staff are very attentive and Asara's own wine with the meal is excellent.
