We ate lunch here during a day of tasting wine near Stellenbosch. The locally sourced food was superb, the food was attractively presented and was full of flavor. We sat outside overlooking the gardens and picturesque countryside.

Beautiful homestead, enjoy going there so much. We booked the main room with en suite bathroom. BEAUTIFUL views of the mountains and garden from this room. Great service from the staff. Beautiful, quiet spot to enjoy as a couple.

What an incredible homestead! Perfect for a family or group of friends. Picturesque setting that oozes Tranquility. The history on the farm is fascinating - the homestead being a Sir Herbert Baker design. Huge yet warming reception rooms, spacious bedrooms and overall a magical feel as soon as you step into the homestead.

When we arrived there was no one there to receive us and we had to ask the restaurant, Ashley then took us through the house. When we booked the Pink Room, we had overlooked that it has no ensuite bathroom. The house made a decent impression. In the otherwise impressive entrance hall stood a road bike and a golf bag,...

We checked into Dornier and it was beautiful. We went to the main house and it is huge. Then we found out the four of us were the only people who were staying there. That's not a bad thing. The bad thing is there are only small electric heaters in the room. The rooms are large and can't be warmed...

The welcome was super friendly. The room was spacious, very clean and even had WiFi. Had a great sleep as the bed was comfy and it was absolutely quiet. In the morning had a good breakfast at the Bodega about 100 meters from the house. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night. The Dornier Homestead has...

On a recent visit to South Africa and Cape Town, a colleague suggested that I visit Dornier Wine estate in Stellenbosch, and possibly also stayed there. I did just that, and all I can say is, you should do the same! My wife and I stayed at the Dornier Homestead for 2 nights, and thereby not just experienced a great...

We stayed for two nights at the Homestead, and loved every minute of it. The estates themselves are beautiful, and it was a joy just to stroll about and soak it all in. The Homestead itself definitely retains the feel and character of an early 18th century estate house, which we absolutely loved. The staff at Dornier, in particular, deserve...

Whoa! What a homestead. Back in the days, it was owned by the famous Dornier family. Although at times you might see that wine making is their core business, everything was like it should have been. Impressive visit! We had the annex room, which is fine. It means that you don't have your own bathroom, but as this is a...

A beautifully renovated property on one of the best wine farms. Scenic walks and one of the best restaurants in Stellenbosch next door. We were sorry to have to leave this gorgeous house.
