This hotel is located on a island in the center of Tomar, with lovely grounds and exterior, but the rooms are a bit threadbare and badly need renovating. In spite of this, quite clean, and a good bed. Private parking a plus. Restaurant in the hotel is convenient, but service is slow and meal was just okay.

Our two night stay at the Estalagem was wonderful. We loved the personal attention afforded by its small size, and its unique character is quite appealing. The location is perfect, the view over the park is lovely and entertaining, the breakfast is very good.

A delightful hotel set in the heart of a lovely green space in Tomar. Cross the road and you are in the old town and from there it is a short steep walk to the Convent. Our welcome was warm, our room comfortable and clean. And we enjoyed a simple dinner of pate cheese olives and soup. The soup was...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed it. It is a traditional hotel not for anyone that wants new and modern. That is not to say that it did not have everything one needed. It did. It is an older building and has a lot of charm because of that. We had a suite. It had...

The Estalagem is on old tradicional hotel (inn) on a small island of the river that runs through the heart of Tomar. It is a typical Portugues building, not of the newest standards. But that´s the charm of this place. The rooms are tradicional, but well equiped. The personel is very friendly and assist where ever they can. For a...

We stayed one night. The hotel is situated very close to all ammenities and has a lovely view from the balcony which overlooks the park. Staff are very helpful. There was also a nice breakfast served. They also serve lunch and dinner and have a lounge.

I ate there recently with my family (end of february 2016) and the COD fishy was smelly, my father took a speciality of the moment, Lamprey (20 EUR the plate) and he got very small pieces of fish, usually this plate comes with 2 or 3 slices of the fish, here nothing. The service is OK, the place nice but...

This is a good hotel with good staff but seems to live in the 1960s! There is nothing to complain about other than it needs updating, the staff are good and the food is good and for a hotel in the centre of Tomar is very reasonably priced

“to the front of the hotel is the park to the back the rooms overlook the river which is teeming with fish , there is another hotel across the river which is ultra modern so the back doesnt look over the streets , there is a football stadium to the right over the river as you look at the front so could be noisy if there is a match but it was tanquil when we wre there”
