We stayed in the luxury complex with our own private pool which had fag butts in the cracks of the wall and the water around the edge on the sill was black and got worse throughout our stay. The room was lovely and clean and had everything you needed, bed was comfortable and shower was great. As part of the luxury package there was a private pool and bar just for luxury apartment guests away from the main pool but most of the umbrellas were broken so couldn't get out of the sun (it was 35 degrees most of the time) The alcoholic beverages were very weak and the cocktails didn't taste like they had any alcohol in at all. We didn't use the main pool so can't comment on that area. I would say there were about 20 sun beds around the private pool area and by the time you got there after breakfast they had been reserved, this lead to us doing the same as we would never get a bed but we as soon as we left to go back to the room we would take our towels off so someone else could use them. This was annoying as we paid all that money (just like other guests) but couldn't even get a sun bed, very selfish but a common occurrence anywhere you go. The food was below standard, the breakfast was a very confusing mismatch, bread was stale with flies on it, 'fresh' fruit had dried up again with flies around it. Lunch was probably the best meal, lots of variety to choose from. Dinner wasn't much better than breakfast, meals were changed every day so didn't have the same thing twice but just not up to standard. We ended up eating in the al la carte most nights as it wasn't expensive and much better food. My ex partner who I went with is a massive foodie so was very disappointed with the buffet food, i'm quite fussy so it was perfect for me but not very tasty. We booked early September in the hope there wouldn't be many children but there was a lot. Not very pleasant carrying round plates of food in the dining area when there are kids running around every where screaming. The staff were friendly and accommodating for us, room cleaners very good and friendly. The aquapark was amazing, we had an amazing day. The queue for slides went down quickly but I struggled with the amount of stairs lol! I wouldn't say im unfit but my legs were in tatters after walking up so many sets of stairs! definitely didn't need to go to the gym for a while. The spa was very good where we had a turkish bath and then a massage afterwards and very reasonably priced too. We were allowed to shower before our transfer to the airport but the public shower was absolutely disgusting! The walls were brown with dirt and scum, hair clogged up the drain and the scum around the metal fixings was disgusting, i've never seen anything like it in a resort! Overall a good resort, a 3* resort at most…
Our Granddaughter got married on Green Pines bungalow beach and it was lovely. Orka Sunlife is a lovely hotel but far too many steps for us although there is a cable lift to all the floors .....rooms cleaned every day and towels replaced...no need for pool towels as they are provided and replaced every day. We found the hotel a good walk from town but taxis £2.50 and very easy to get if you press the buzzer outside reception.
First time here. Although the reviews we looked at prior to going gave us some concerns they were groundless. Excellent hotel, friendly attentive staff. Food a bit samey but always something for everybody's taste. No complaints. Would return.
The room was nice. It was cleaned regularly. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was pretty big with a spacious shower. The balcony wasnt massive but big enough for two of us with lovely views over the mountains. We were on the top floor but the outside lift was working throughout and there is also one indoors. The food was lovely, buffet with a lot of variety but I was sad there wasn't more seafood. The waiting staff came promptly and brought meal time drinks. The pool area was nice. Plenty of sunbeds for everyone. The pool bar was well stocked and the staff friendly. Can't really fault my stay here apart from I lost my passport and struggled a bit getting help from the hotel staff but I suppose its not their job to know everything.
Positive first . The bar and serving staff are fantastic and very helpful. Main area of hotel is fine . Rooms are definitely not 5 star ( Would give 2 star at most ). On arrival the room was filthy, reported to reception who could not care less and just shrugged shoulders, no tea or coffee was replenished daily and had to constantly ask at reception, the same went for water . The so called mini bar was a joke and consisted of 1 can of coke and a can of Fanta, again this was not replenished. The cleaners only came in 3 times over the 14 nights and did not clean the room and only changed the towels once . The Entertainment consisted of loud music around the pool from 10am to 11pm daily with a darts game and a water polo game thrown in . There were no Easyjet reps on the site and complaints had to be done through a phone call on our mobile which cost the earth , the WiFi was next to useless so could not communicate via messenger. The area was fantastic and would visit again but not in this hotel . Give it a wide berth if you want a 5 star experience …
We arrived here and were worried as we had read previous bad reviews and were really pleasantly surprised. We had such a great time. The food was delicious, drinks and cocktails were lovely, entertainment was good (considering it was the end of the season), our rooms were cleaned everyday although a few times we did have to ask for towels as they were taken away but not replaced. The location of the hotel is perfect! We walked to hisaranu a couple of times and caught taxis to Olu deniz a few times. The hotel has the most amazing views. Every worker there was friendly and helpful! Particularly the restaurant manager who went out of his way to chat and make sure everything was good. The babadag cable cars are a great day out and my daughter did the paragliding, we booked this through sky sports and I highly recommend them, they were so professional and made sure safety was adhered to at all times. The only bad thing I would say is the wifi which was non existent but I knew this before coming so ordered a dongle from mr dongle which was superb! He drops it off at hotel and arranges collection to suit yourself. Overall a fantastic family holiday with lots of beautiful sunshine. Would definitely return. …
Hi, I arrived on 18th October and was greeted by 2 friendly staff who helped me check into my room (2007) Upon arrival I had noticed chips in the floorboards which were dangerous if my children stand on them and can get bits of wood into their feet. The bottom half of the bed was sinking as bottom of the bed was being held by a WOODEN BOARD which the staff just pulled the board down from the top of the bed. The jacuzzi bath would not fill up due to the plug not holding into place, the technician said it was ok, but it wasn’t The shower would flood the bathroom every time we showered as the water overflowed the step. The toilet leaked every time we flushed The worst of it all is the air conditioning unit. We reported this 4 times and we kept getting told “ it’s ok, it has been serviced” nobody worried about the safety of my children slipping on the water which was DRIPPING from unit and cealing. We kept getting told it was coming from the room above which was not true as it only happened when we out the air conditioning on. The technician came and each time he opened the unit it poured with water but again “IT WAS OK” ??? Finally after 4 times of reporting and kept getting told “no manager is around and both managers were on a day off together” we were told we are able to move rooms. we were showed 2 rooms, one was a luxury room which was stunning and the other room was a superior which I believe we was supposed to have had in the first place due to the description which was on my booking form at booking.com.. so we were sold something which we didn’t even get. When I had opted to stay in a superior I was told this room wouldn’t be ready until 6pm which was a 6 hour wait and I had already packed and wanted to move so we went to the deluxe room (7008) The house keeping was atrocious, there was 4 of us in the room and the housekeeper was taking 4 towels but only giving us 2/3 clean ones?! We had no hoovering or no sweeping throughout the whole of our stay. Water was meant to be topped up everyday but it wasn’t, we had to get reception to bring us water and cups. On the 29th we went to reception and asked to pay for a late check out fee. The young polite lad had allowed to us to pay £40 and stay in our room until 4pm. When I had phoned for someone to help us with our bags from our room to the reception we were told we aren’t due to check out until the 30th. I wasn’t aware of this so they offered to give the £40 refund back to my card which I had paid with. That evening when I went to get my £40 refund I was told he doesn’t know how to give a refund, he phoned 3 people on a video call asking how to give a refund and they didn’t know either, I came back 3 times to see if they worked it out and was told to come back at 8pm when a “manager” arrived ( I was due to leave the hotel at 9pm) when I went back at 8pm I was approached by a so called man who called himself “a top boss” he was very rude, had no manners, was very abrupt. He was saying my bank card was NOT my card and the card numbers does not match the description on his receipts and was told I need to show my receipt. I showed him the receipt and he still continued to tell me it’s not my card ( even though it had a picture of my children on my card ). My husband then came over and asked why I am not receiving my refund, he then began to raise his voice calling us liars which then led to an argument and my partner walking away, the “ boss “ then claimed he felt upset and threatened by by husband. I was then told he actually wasn’t the manager by another staff member. I am very very angry and upset by this and I will not be returning to this hotel. It’s such a shame really because the hotel as a set up is beautiful. The restaurant and bar staff were always helpful and polite. The 2 entertainers (Erhan and Sunny) were great for all they could do and my 2 children had a great time with them.…
Just returned from a great 2 week stay at orka Sunlife this is our 3rd year going family of 10 ranging from 10 to 74. Staff is great the food this year was some of the best we have had could not fault the cleaning this year. the staff and management go out of their way to help the new entertainment staff were great can't wait to go back next year.
I really don't know where to start. I was really worried before even getting on this holiday after seeing all the reviews on fb on oludeniz hisaronu sites. I kept seeing a odd good review and hoped some people were being over dramatic. Unfortunately not! So here's my honest review.. We arrived 3am 18th Oct as a family of 10people 2 x double rooms booked 1 x family room booked. Got to our rooms to discover no bedding on sofa bed for our child ( no beds made up for kids on both others rooms either) We called up reception and told them we needed bedding asap so i could get my child to sleep as she was exhausted..we were told they'd send some.. 40mins later still none! My hubby called again to have the phone put down on him..saying come see manager in morning! Few minutes later a man turned up with a pillow with no pillow case and it was wet! The sheet was full of holes..and on quick inspection the room was filthy! Door handle fell off patio door, curtains were hanging down 🙄 Next morning we went to complain to be told the hotel was full and we can't change any of our rooms.. so we requested they get a very thorough clean. THIS NEVER HAPPENED! see pics. We had to constantly ask for towels, toilet rolls. Our bedding was not changed once in the 2 weeks we were there. There are loads of broken sunbeds and umbrellas. There's 5 slides..2 were out of use plus the water park was closed. The food.. not good! 2 members of our family including my 10year old daughter was really poorly for 5days solid with diarrhoea and my mum was had sickness for 2days too. Good points.. The views are amazing! Pool was nice. The animation team are fab..especially sonny! This hotel may have been a 5* once upon a time, unfortunately its definitely not now.. more 3*. They have really let the place go.. The whole place is just run down..they need to replace sunbeds, towels. Theres so many updates need doing..and just general maintenance and cleaning! Such a shame because the location and views are stunning. Would I return or recommend.. definitely not! …
We came with my sister her husband and child and my family of 4 and another neice n nephew so 10 of us in total ... The rooms where dirty and barley cleaned the whole Time we was here. The water park which is supposed to be included was closed, the room for my family of 4 wasn't not suitable for 4 people.. had to ask the hotel manager to bring a single bed in to the living area as there was only a corner sofa that they expected my 6 foot tall 14 Yr old to sleep on... food was not good ..on arriving there was glass all over the floors near pool, we reported it to the rep who eventually got them to clean it 24hrs later.. overall I would only rate this a 3 star but is suppose to be a 5 star.. the entertainment team are brilliant and bar staff are ok, could do with putting a smile on their faces at times. I know people who have been here before and said it was amazing but unfortunately that was not my experience at all.. due to covid and stuff the hotel isn't running as a 5 star anymore. …
