The Green Forest Holiday Village garners acclaim for its attentive and diligent staff, though some guests suggest service can lag at breakfast. Its serene location strikes a balance between tranquility and convenience, a stone's throw from local highlights. While the pools and sunbeds receive kudos for their upkeep, the hotel's breakfast and drink options leave some guests desiring more variety and value. Opinions on the rooms are mixed, noting their cleanliness and efficient air conditioning, but also pointing out size constraints and tired aesthetics. The hotel's overall cleanliness stands out, despite occasional towel-related complaints.

I felt like I had to write a review, after reading so many negative ones prior to coming that aren’t truly reflective of the hotel!

I’ll start with the negatives as they are fewer -
The entertainment in an evening is lacking, and something that needs to be worked on. I ended up going into the town centre most nights as there was nothing on at the hotel, which is annoying when all inclusive!
The music they play during the day can sometimes be a bit much, but not bad if you don’t sit right next to the speaker.
Although I would’ve appreciated them not playing ‘good morning…. Goooood morrrrning’ EVERY MORNING AT 10am on the dot haha!

Food was ok, nothing special but there always was plenty, roast on a Sunday was lovely, and a man was there preparing fresh pasta dishes to order every night!
The rooms are very basic, but they’re clean and you get a fresh bottle of water every day, they’re also tidied every day, but I’m doubtful the towels or sheets were changed at all in my stay (unless I left the towel on the floor). Be aware that you can hear everything that goes on in your corridor so if you’re unfortunate like I was to get put next door to a couple that had a domestic every time they drank, then you may lack sleep! Can’t be helped by the hotel, but something to be aware of with young kids!

The hotel is in a great location, a couple of minutes walk to hisaronu centre with a lively night life and plenty of shops for your genuine Turkey designer gifts!
They also run a shuttle bus to the beach and blue lagoon, which is handy as taxis are impossible to get in the area!!

The staff are super friendly and couldn’t do more to help you. And there is food served from the snack bar 11-4 every day, including gozlems, burgers, pizza and toasties so you never go hungry, and even if what was on offer for lunch wasn’t for me, I knew I could always grab something from here instead! Bar includes some great cocktails and opens as early as 10.30am for us brits abroad!

The pool area is great, don’t understand why people say there isn’t shade, yes there are no brollys, but there is a covered area right around the outside of the pool. I never struggled to get a sun bed, even when I ventured down at 10am, so none of the early morning towel dash!

The kids seemed to have a lot of fun, with the slides too and the girls in the entertainment team kept them busy in the day! I travelled here solo and felt very safe in and around the hotel and local area!

Overall it’s a lovely little hotel, and looks beautiful from your room, check the pictures I attached! the rooms could do with upgrading yes, but you truly do get what you pay for, it’s never going to be 5* luxury. But if you want a clean, family friendly hotel in a stunning part of Turkey don’t be put off by negative reviews!

Me and my mum stayed here for 10 days all inclusive.

Facilities
Hotel was spotless and cleaned every day, as well as toilets.
Pool was really nice and cleaned every night, the hotel got busier as the week went on so make sure to get out by at least 8 if you are wanting a sun bed.
Spa was really nice, completely child friendly too. Turkish bath and sauna free, however massages, etc you will need to pay extra for.
Outside the hotel there is a green button you press to order a taxi which comes in minutes, we appreciated this very much.

Food
Seen a lot of reviews on here about the food being "cold and bad quality". This could not be further from the truth- omelettes (with a choice of whats in it) and pancakes made fresh in front of you, the only disappointing part was the lunch buffet which didnt have much choice so we ended up using the snack bar which was brilliant :) Snack bar serves toasties, pizzas, burgers, pancakes all made fresh.
The dessert choice was okay, but a lot of them are made of a soggy texture which I was put off by, but the rest of the food was nice and fresh.

One of us had a nut allergy and the chef was very helpful to tell us which food we were allowed to eat as the food didnt have an ingredients list- Definitely be careful with desserts if you have a nut allergy as most of the desserts containing nuts dont show it. We did however eat out on 2/10 nights.

Staff
Gloria (the turkish pancake lady) was so nice and made amazing pancakes as we were told in the other reviews of this hotel!!
Staff were all smiles and friendly, made us feel very welcome and reception helped as much as they could with some minor problems we had with power.
Not a single staff member was rude or unwelcoming and we loved everybody's enthusiasm.

Room
Room was nice and the maids were very friendly, fresh towels given to us daily. Beds were comfy and made up well, and lots of storage to use.
However, our room had multiple power outages, eg lights switching off and air con. Staff were very responsive and apologetic but however did not solve this problem. The fridge was not cold but someone did come over to look at it and it was then cold for about a day.
Shower was good, toiletries provided in bathroom.

Entertainment
During the day they do water polo, darts, beach parties (which they provide transport for), and air rifle.
Night entertainment was standard, but the Turkish dancers really made our nights. The hotel do music quizzes, live music, and bingo (but you need to pay extra for bingo strips.) Very funny bingo guy though!

Also a very friendly little cat who wanders around the hotel and loves attention (and food.)!!

Overall a really nice place to stay and would go back if it wasnt being turned into a B&B next year :(((
Thank you green forest!!

Arrived here on the 17th August.
Lovely hotel with a fantastic pool. There's a toddler pool, a pool with slides but this was only open for 2 hours a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Plenty of sunbeds but still lots of guests were getting up in the middle of the night to reserve. Pool bar was reasonably priced 1.5 litre water £1. Effes 500 ml just under £3 , could buy cheaper drinks outside in bars nearby ,spirits very expensive no matter where you went. The board basis was bed and breakfast and tbh due to reading A couple of previous reviews regarding illnesses we avoided for the first couple of days which did spoil things, we quickly realised that everything was perfectly ok and no reports of anyone Ill and so we went and tried on day 3, everything was perfectly clean fresh and very good, it was typical Turkish breakfast but by far the best we have had with plenty of choice, we did find out from A friend that there had been water issues/with no water in certain hotels and bars on the strip a couple of weeks before we arrived so this could of potentially caused issues, I don't believe this hotel was affected by water... Snack bar serving pizzas ,chips burgers etc again was reasonably priced. Rooms were interconnected on top floor and were very clean, large powerful shower and comfy beds, rooms cleaned daily, a tip for doors if you have a key make sure you lock with key when leaving room as they don't automatically lock on their own once shut.
To summarize it is a lovely clean hotel and will definitely return and don't let reviews regarding illness put you off eating as it did with us for the first couple of days

We travelled as a family in July and stayed in 2 swim up rooms . Rooms are basic but clean and the swim up rooms were well worth the upgrade as you couldn’t get a sun bed by main pool unless you were up at the crack of dawn and there wasn’t much shade. Hotel location is great , quiet but 2 mins walk onto the main strip. Wasn’t much for the kids to do - slides only on for 2 hours a day and ice cream available for 1 hour but no organised activities for them . They did both enjoy the pool table & table tennis. Food was the biggest let down for us and we unfortunately didn’t budget for having to eat out for 10 nights especially with the price we paid. The food is very repetitive and not much choice and to be honest always Luke warm and there was flies everywhere. We ended up most mornings waiting on the snack bar opening and having fresh pancakes for breakfast and would have lunch in the snack bar too ( the snack bar ladies are lovely especially the pancake lady) they work very hard and I think it should be addressed that they have fans in the snack area for the ladies as it was extremely warm for them with the July heat and the oven & pancake maker. I did email the hotel before arrival with room requests and received a reply quickly and room request met , we had a few issues with locks and again was dealt with efficiently . We found most staff friendly and approachable except the bar staff . The nightly entertainment wasn’t really our thing but seemed busy. Not the hotels fault but every night we would be woken up in the wee small hours with guests returning to their rooms , banging doors and shouting loudly to each other , I understand that people are out enjoying their holiday but they should be more considerate of others . We wouldn’t return to this hotel on an All Inclusive basis but think it would do well on a bed & breakfast basis especially with the swim up rooms . Would also be a good idea to have the spa details ( with prices) available in rooms for people to look at at their leisure rather than being put on the spot when at pool/ snack bar area.

This is certainly not a 5* hotel, if you have stayed in
a 5* before you will notice the difference. I would rate it as a 3*

The bedrooms are not soundproof, you can hear
everyone walking and talking through the corridors, we used to wake up early every morning due to the noise.

For a 70th birthday, they provided a small plate of fruit just apples and oranges which apparently took them an hour to prepare - see photos attached

The hotel had only iron that was shared amongst the
whole hotel (over 100 rooms).
Our toiletries were not replenished daily, I had to keep
asking the cleaner for towels and toilet tissue.
They only provided us with 2 beach towels and you
could only get a replacement if you bring back the other 2 even if there wet.
Shower in my room had a leak.

The door to the private pool access was locked and
therefore we wasn't able to use the pool for the first 2
days.
There's hardly any space to walk around your bedroom or bathroom.
Breakfast and lunch were standard and the only fresh
fruit provided was watermelon.

They only offer one shuttle bus to go Fethiye at 11am
everyday.
Reception staff were unhelpful and stuck up.
Works were also being carried out to the palm trees
whilst we're walking to the restaurant, a hazard to our
health and safety.

The spa staff are also in your face every time you walk
past them to go to the restaurant, they keep offering you their service and wait for you everyday until you actually book. I regrettably booked a service and my back is still suffering from the massage i had there.

We paid for a sofa bed and it wasn't even set up for us
so the first night we didn't have any pillows or bedsheets for it. There was also only one power socket available for use in the whole room.

The shower is located on the other side of your room, so when you come out the private pool, you have to walk past your whole room to get to the shower, making the floor all wet!

The hotel also charged my bank account almost £100
without my knowledge for a sterling transaction fee and has still not refunded me for this. Booking.com
confirmed they also charged a different amount to what stated on my booking.

Just returned from a week at the Green Forest Holiday Village and would readily award 9/10.
Having contacted the hotel in advance, we requested a room overlooking the pool, however on arrival a week yesterday we had been allocated one above the steps to the garden/pool area at the back of reception. The room was spotlessly clean, was cleaned most days with towels changed as required i.e. we also made certain by taking more (and toilet rolls) from the cleaners' trolley left at the end of the corridor! The only issue was the rather small balcony with just enough room for two people with no table to place anything on.
The hotel overall was fantastic and well maintained throughout, with the staff very pleasant and polite throughout our stay. We don't book holidays to establish long standing friendships with hotel staff so can't single any out by name, suffice to say 95% of them were really nice.
Having read previous reviews concerning the music by the pool, we couldn't find any problem justifying the many complaints from other contributors, and the DJ played a selection to suit all tastes. We went out every evening so can't comment on the entertainment.
The only down side and one that prevents a 10/10 review is breakfast. Firstly, we found the staff in attendance quite miserable, particularly both chefs who were robotic and clearly not enjoying their work at all! Whilst one concentrated fully on making pancakes and nothing else, the other was responsible for omelettes and fried eggs. As most people chose omelettes over the drab alternatives on offer, queues built up and it took ages to be served! The only alternatives were boiled eggs which wouldn't have been out of place as a 'Bushtucker Challenge' on I'm a Celeb, cold chips, runny scrambled egg, diced sausage in some sauce and the salad/fruit bar. Not being funny but who wants cold chips, salad and cheese etc for breakfast at 07.30 am? They didn't even provide bacon!! Having visited many hotels in different countries around the world, in our experience this was the first time bacon wasn't provided and probably the worst breakfast ever. The hotel management are clearly aware of these issues and despite their comments in response to contributors, nothing has been done to improve things.
We opted to grin and bear breakfast on 3 occasions but chose to visit restaurants up the town who offered traditional breakfasts for a decent price and bacon!!
The hotel is situated in a quiet area on the edge of town, and just a short 10 minute stroll to the hussle and bussle of Hisaranu, be prepared to be pestered and nagged by bar staff and shop staff!
All things considered, a great holiday in a cracking hotel, apart from the breakfast experience letting it down. Would book again if in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
3 adults over 2 rooms
Had lovely cheese baguette when we arrived due to arriving in the early hours. Baguettes we’re fresh and filled a hole so I could sleep soundly.

Maintenance staff were quick to attend to our bags and carry them up to our rooms for us. They also took the time to show us around the rooms, how to use the air con etc with plenty of banter to boot! Great bunch of lads who work really hard.

Plenty of beds around the pool available due to the time of year we attended, beautiful views over the mountain, perfect temperature and lovely cocktails.
The on site spa was perfect for a Turkish bath and a relaxing massage, £55 for the before sun package. My skin was perfectly prepped for tanning and felt so soft afterwards.

Bloody Errol was lots of fun and his banter was great! If you’re not a snowflake and have classic humour he is a great laugh. Don’t take him too serious and you’ll have fun.
Evening entertainment was great on the few evenings we attended, the live band, Karaoke and quiz night was enjoyable with cocktails flowing.

Plenty of choice of food for the whole stay, homemade pancakes and omelettes in the mornings with a gozleme (Turkish pancake) lady for lunch with snack bar, who seemed to do everything around the kitchen and was always working. Such a kind lady with a lovely smile. Kebab nights, great beef goulash and a Sunday lunch on that is comparable to what you’d get in Britain.

Close the the bars and restaurants in main Hisaronu and the hotel does a shuttle bus down to Olu Deniz. Which was great for a change of scenery and a day down the beach.
Great deals on the fakes at this time of year due to end of season.

Special shout out to Sam at reception he was very attentive and a great laugh. Carried our bags for us for our journey home.

Only gripe I had was that the mattresses needed changing, very hard and springy.

Would recommend it to anyone!

As a pretence to this review, I have managed hotels both in the UK and abroad for over 15 years so maybe a bit more understanding of the plight of the hospitality industry and “letting some things go” that may be an issue to others.

Firstly the resort itself is stunning. We had a swim up room and although small, you only really use a room to sleep in and get ready in the evenings don’t you, so it wasn’t really an issue. It was clean and we had no issues at all. The swim up element is great for kids as they can have that “chill out time” just before getting ready to go out in the evenings.

The WiFi is non existent so if you have a child that is reliant on tech to help them relax then definitely don’t rely on the hotels.

Bar has no atmosphere at all and the breakfast is average at best. Us brits love a bit of bacon and eggs in the morning but unfortunately you will not find it here. Harry’s just down the road is brilliant if you want a lovely breakfast and a proper cuppa!

Town is a 5 min walk away and there are dozens of lovely restaurants, the sun trap was our favourite.

Staff are lovely and the pools are very well Kept, I got up around 8:15 each morning to get a sunbed and never struggled to get one where we wanted.

I have 2 main gripes.

Entertainment…it starts far to late. We were laying in bed at 11:30pm and heard the “kareoke” and people shouting into the mic. In a family resort you’d think that it would finish at 11pm..not really get going at that time. The 2 guys who run it are nice but just need a few more people skills.

Late check out…our flight was late and I asked on day 2 if we could pay for a late check out at 4pm which they advertise for £45. I was told to come the night before we go home. Fine. I was then told to come just before midday on the day we left! Now we all know as a family you want to plan your final day in terms of showers and packing etc. I just thought it was bad that you can’t actually plan what you’re doing until your final day.

Overall - great holiday, my son loved it. We did spend a lot of money on snacks etc but that is to be expected in a bed and breakfast board.

We have recently returned from a 12 night stay at Green Forest. We booked this hotel based on the fact it had changed to b&b (we're not fussed for AI) and it's location.

We stayed in a swim up room in block 2 which had the sun on an afternoon. I booked this directly with the hotel and paid on arrival as it worked out slightly cheaper doing it that way than with the Tour Op.

Plenty of sunbeds...it was getting busier towards the back end of our stay but always loads available.

Breakfast was fine, freshly cooked omelettes and fried eggs and plenty of fruit, salad, cereal, pancakes etc

I agree with another review that the drinks were pricey. It's a shame really as we'd be more inclined to come back on an evening for a few drinks before bed if they were slightly lower.

We weren't able to get a late check out (understandable as we left the first day of Bayram). It was actually fine as there was a room for luggage which also had some luggage scales in and a shower room/toilets downstairs so it worked out ok and saved us money.

Shout out to Cem who was constantly on the go, wheeling cases to and from rooms and hoiking them up the steps 😂

Also the Jet2 rep Hazel, who had to deal with an awful incident with 2 guests (not Jet2 guests may I add). Thankfully they were ejected from the hotel but not something a rep should ever have to deal with....some people are just feral when they have booze in them

All in all a great stay and we've already booked to return next year 👍

My family and I have just got back from this hotel, we stayed in rooms 2307 and 1406, we had no problem at all with noise from anywhere, the rooms were facing the forest and it was quiet. The rooms were small but adequate the shower was one of the most powerful we have encountered abroad, we had a proper cubicle, no shower curtain and the towels were changed daily. Breakfast was adequate, made to order omelettes, but the queue was sometimes long. The pool bar was reasonably priced and food was tasty. The spa in the hotel delivered very good massages and turkish baths. It was a 5 minute walk to the main strip where all the bars and restaurants are. The staff are all very friendly and the pool entertainment a good laugh. They have another couple of pools, one for babies and one with slides that open for a couple of hours a day which we all enjoyed. No queuing or getting up for sunbeds early, we went to the pool around 9am everyday and there was always loads empty, these were also very padded and comfortable. There were even hammocks if you preferred. A ride on the cable cars is a must, to the top of the mountain where there are spectacular views, we went up for sunset and it was amazing. The only downside was the courtesy shower room, which was small, mouldy and not air conditioned and there was only 1 shower, which is not good when there are several of you wanting to shower before a late departure.
