The Grand Ucel Hotel is situated in a pine covered valley about 600m above OluDeniz beach & the famous and beautiful ‘Blue Lagoon’ featured in all Turkish brochures. It benefits from the beauty & tranquility of the area, surrounded by mountains and yet only minutes from the beach. The plateau remains cooler during the hot summer months, giving a welcome relief from the heat. Perfect for couples, families and people of all ages, there is something on offer for all ages from the thrills of paragliding, watersports and funfair rides to amazing beaches with room for all at any time of the year and even walking and birdwatching treats at the quieter ends of the season. The local harbour & historic market town of Fethiye, with amazing shopping, bars, nightclubs and restaurants as well as Roman Amphitheatres, Lycian Rock Tombs and Byzantine castle is also on the doorstep. The hotel has been run by the TAHANCI family since 1988 and we have developed a very good relationship with our guests,The staff are always friendly, welcoming and willing to help in any way to make your stay as wonderful as possible. We also have the advantage of many years experience of dealing with guests from England and many other European countries, and have an in-depth knowledge of the area we live in. We are there to help you enjoy your holiday the best way we can -whether that involves relaxing by the pool and in the bar, or, making the most of the activities and trips available in the area. Our staff generally speak very good English and there will always be someone there who can answer your queries - just ask at reception and they will find the person that can best help you whatever your situation. On this site we have included some information about the hotel, local area and activities available during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel, and wish you a happy holiday in advance.

We are staying in a private booked apartment about 10 Mon walk away and thought pop in and spend day at the water park. For 1 adult and 2 X 12 years it cost just £8! Water park has about 8 slides but very clean, drinks cheap 3 soft drinks for 15 lira. Kids enjoyed their time. Mainly Turkish people in hotel We will be going to main water park too but this was a nice way to spend a cheap afternoon.

Purchased an apartment from a company registered at The Grand Ucel Hotel. Last year received a phone call from a friend of the Tahanci's telling me that the apartment was now his and that he would give me the opportunity to remove personal goods if I wanted, have asked for an explanation as to what is going on. Tahanchi brothers have not replied. My experience of dealing with Tahanci family and Grand Ucel is that they have conned me out of all my savings and shown no remorse.

We stayed here for the 3rd time and booked again next year. We love the fact this is visited mainly by lovely Turkish tourist as all to often unfortunately in some of the more expensive hotels there can be a lot of our native English people who are rowdy and drunk. However although the rooms are basic the rest of the hotel is great and the food really lovely. As long as the rooms are clean and tidy , that's fine as we are not in them much. We love the Turkish breakfast...such a variety and our 3 year old twin grandchildren love the staff and food. Someone ,ade a comment re loud music, I don't like it either but the Turkish do, however you only have to ask for it to be turned down and they do it. We saw a wedding here in May on a previous stay and i have to say the hotel looked beautiful. We love this hotel and friends who partially live in Turkey also visited and loved it. We have been going to this area 2 or 3 times a year since 2016 and we recommend this hotel. If we have had any minor issues we speak to the owner and it's sorted. Enjoy 😎

This hotel looks ok from the outside but the rooms are in an atrocious state. Dead mosquitos splattered on the wall, furniture scraped and falling to pieces, toilet is desperate need of a bottle of bleach and only God knows what was left splattered down the tiles in the bathroom. Two minutes in the room and we all had to go and scrub our feet clean. Curtains left lying on the floor instead of hanging from the window where it should be. Light in bathroom, bedroom and hallway not working. Place was in darkness. Need I say more. Moving elsewhere after only one day.

We are going back for our 4th visit and have booked for 9 of us to go in 2017. Have to say been staying in the area for 16years. Find the staff friendly and helpful. Left phones.ipads etc in room no problem and safety deposit boxes are good. Our rooms have been one of the cleanest so far. Basic but fine for what we need. Food is great and the Chef will do all he can to help especially for our grandchildren who we took last year. Also like that a lot of Turkish families stay here and in our experience they tend to be with and playing with their children.having stayed in a couple of the top hotels in the area we were very very disturbed by the unruly children and in a lot of cases anibriated parents. So a big thank you to Polat and his family for great holiday's. Ps in May they had a wedding at the hotel. Nice venue for this and it look amazing.xx

We stayed in this hotel for one night while driving up to Kalkan. The waterpark was very fun, we enjoyed that. The actual hotel however was horrible. The rooms were filthy. The sheets on the beds were dirty. Beds uncomfortable. The breakfast was disgusting. The pool was nice but there was very loud music played through huge speakers, not peaceful at all. I'd recommend the water park but definitely not the hotel.

Grand Ucel hotel in Ovacik is situated in a great location just 15 min walk from hisaronu or a short dolmus ride away. Room was a family room which consisted of 2 bedrooms , small bathroom with shower. Rooms very basic but adequate and well cleaned by the maids daily. Free waterpark which is part of the hotel( 10 quid entrance to other guests), great for kids. breakfast is a turkish breakfast with many items to choose from( i have heard reviews complaining of breakfast as it only serves turkish ,well you are in Turkey) Overall a great holiday and lovely staff , i only needed help once with confirmation of transfer and they happily helped me out. would recommend and visit again in the future!
