Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. First night we arrived our room flooded after a storm. Moved to another room with no bed linen. We then had no water for the toilet or shower for the rest of that evening. Food was cold and very average. Drinks on the all inclusive were awful. No choice. Refused most of the drinks we wanted so a complete waste of money if you want to be all inclusive. Restaurant manager very rude and argumentative. Would never go back or recommend.
Air-con set and couldn’t change to suit how hot it was! 2nd to last day I found a maggot crawling next to the food, that we have ate all week! Just so dirty and not to mention the incident that happened to a mother Holliday maker when there! Filthy
I can to celebrate my bday in Margan beach hotel . The person in the desk reception was very nice and gave me the best room with the pool view .. the food was amazing . I bought all inclusive package .. and when I suppose to check out they gave to more time to pack my bags..
Hotel is very very basic. We got to the hotel late at night and was shown to our room. We were in shock when we walked in. Considering we booked this package via British Airways we were expecting some sort of basics. Rooms are tiny and cramped (2 adults 1child) and almosr straight away we looked at each other and both said shall we go to Sun City where we had stayed the previous year. We persevered and stayed. The room had ants inside and was very outdated. We stayed for a week and had our room ‘cleaned’ once. I say cleaned we had our bedding literally turned upside down. I know this because I uad a blister that had started bleeding one night and suddenly the blood had gone from the bottom of the bed to the top. Floors were filthy also. Luckily we didn’t spend much time in the room. Food was average. If you like salad, bread, chips and turkish delight for breakfast then this is the place for you. All inclusive drinks are fine if you drink beers or coke/fanta etc. By the way if you have made it this far and read previous reviews, the hole in the floor by the pool still hasnt been fixed. Then we get to the music from the bars. Oh my word. If you dont go to sleep until 1am then you are fine. Loud banging music played until 1am. If that doesnt keep you awake then the siren from the police indicating that the time has come to close will. I wouldnt stay in this hotel again and if you are still reading I recommend you check out Sun City.…
Had a great time again here, came for first time in June, n came back in September, few little things were wrong, but nothing that wasn't dealt with, Food was ok, nice variety but not as much as in June, but this is understandable as its nearing the end of season, Pool area always nice & clean, plenty of beds Lady on reception was lovely, olesia I think her name was, very polite, helpful & friendly, Again entertainer Mr Curly was great as always, the restaurant Manager & staff were friendly, even got to have a laugh with one of the bosses, But I have got to day my fave this time were the lads behind the bar, Hakan, Gokhan & Emre were always happy to help, friendly, greeted with a smile always, they are an asset to this hotel, as they made my holiday great.
Arrived to Marcan Beach on the 24th of September 2022 and wouldn't say “greeted”, more of a worst welcoming I have ever received. Upon arrival we passed over our passports to which the unprofessional gentleman on reception looked at our UK passports in disgrace and then threw a key across the reception desk and said “Up the stairs, room 606, on your left”. Not one bit of information about the hotel was given to us, but given that the duration of us travelling we needed to put our heads down and be awake early to enjoy our holiday. Upon entering the proom we were gassed by the smell of human sweat and after looking around the room there were no bedding (including pillow cases), no towels, rubbish behind cupboards, bathroom shower smelt of a musty scent, no balcony only small windows that backed onto one of the main bars on the strip itself and a typed out message above the toilet informing us “Make sure you put toilet paper in the bin, not down the toilet please, thank you”. With the above I wasn’t happy to stay in the room and went back down to reception to request a change of room to then be told “we have no rooms, come back to reception at 10am and we will see what we can do”. At this point we had to put our beach towels on the bed and attempt to try and get some sleep which failed given the scent in the room keeping us awake. The next day we went to reception at 10am and was told to come back at 2:30pm which we were moved to room 205 and was escorted by a member of staff who didn’t communicate or could not speak any form of English. Upon entering the new room it wasn’t as bad as the first room, but yet needed some urgent updating. The hotel food/drink/entertainment: This can be very hit and miss, some nights there was some lovely food on offer and other nights not the greatest, but each to their own taste. We was informed that the “all inclusive” drinks are only Vodka and beer and any other drinks are chargeable. The bar is located outside by the outdoor pool so not really the greatest and if you want any drinks after 11pm (inc soft drinks) then they are chargeable. As for entertainment in the hotel there wasn’t any at all. They played music throughout the day by the pool/bar area, but not once did we sight any entertainment in the hotel itself where as other hotels on the strip were playing music/entertainment. In addition to the above it was our first experience visiting Olu Deniz and I wouldn’t hesitate to return, but in another hotel. The local area has a large number of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops and great to grab bargains. The general public of Turkey are always helpful outside of the hotels and always welcome you with open arms. If you’re the type that doesn’t like to be ‘dragged’ into bars, clubs, shops then this isn’t the location for you. We travelled as a couple, but at the time of us visiting Olu Deniz our friends were staying at Sundia which is the next road up from Marcan Beach and we attempted to go and visit them for a drink at night in their hotel to then be told by the ‘security’ on the door “you cannot be in other guests hotels” so this is another note to make if you are travelling with friends/family and wanting to visit their hotel. As mentioned it was our first time here in Turkey and there is so much to experience from exploring the area to booking tourist attractions (Boat trips, water parks, etc). We took £500 with us and was plenty as most bars and restaurants were fairly cheap and offered a wide variety of foods better than all inclusive hotels. As for the hotel itself I’d highly not recommend Marcan Beach and pay the extra to stay at another hotel that do respect their guests after paying a large expense for a 7 days holiday. If you’re just after a cheap and cheerful hotel and are not bothered about the above then please yourself, but returning to Marcan Beach shall not be on my bucket list again.…
It was my fifth time in this hotel The rooms are okay the only problem is sometimes they run out of towels,I don't blame them for that as they are fully booked and some guests take towels with them to the beach or home..food is an open buffet all options are available and they do bbq, pizza, burger and other things in the afternoon between lunch and dinner.bar is okay for all inclusive hotel, the beer is good that's the main thing I hope after this season they would refurbish the rooms 3 mnts from the beach 10 mnts from the blue lagoon I can't say much you have and see yourself 😉
Stayed here for a week, worst holiday I have ever had. All staff so rude. Most staff don’t speak to you if you are English. Food was poor so eat out everyday, the drink was like water. I would never recommend this hotel. All the people who we met said how bad it was. DISAPPOINTED
Currently staying at the marcan, staff awesome yanna and Co on the bar, proper looking after us. Good food amazing weather mustafa keeps changing up the music tho 🤔🤔😂 not sure about that. Paid a bargain for 5 nights defo coming back.
As a first impression , the resort seems nice . The lady at the reception desk during the daytime wasnt very helpful answering our questions . Right after we checked in we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the second floor . I didnt enjoy their food much and i suffered from food poisoning right after my second meal at the restaurant so decided not to eat there anymore . The room was fine , yet they barely supplied any towels or soap. Didnt have hot water although they kept promising us that we will . No wifi at all . On the other hand , the staff were friendly . And Pools were clean
