Great location, beautiful, well maintained property, delicious food and comfortable accommodations. The staff was top-notch at all levels. Many of them were Tucson natives who loved their community which added to the richness of the stay. Don't miss experiences include the native American flute player...More
Our visit was amazing! The Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain was incredible and the staff was out of this world. We loved hiking, biking, playing by the pool, the restaurants... and most of all the insane AZ sunsets!
resort was beautiful. brunch was delicious. had some difficulty figuring out the room types, location and views when booking online. wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the resort more. Will likely return.
My wife and I have come here for long weekends during the winter the pst three years and while we’ve gotten unlucky with the weather more than once, this property more than makes up for it.
From arrival to check out, Dove Mountain delivers everything...More

Your experience was certainly not synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain and actually, very unusual given our very dry desert environment. I do note you were with us during a period of three days of constant rain but we do appreciate you bringing...More

It IS hot in the summer months of June / July / August in southern Arizona. Period. That said, we go there in the summer. Why? The rates are way, way down. What do we do there then? We get up early and go for a fabulous hike in the early (and I mean early ... like 6am) in and around the property for an hour or so when the temps start at 75ish and move into the range of 85-90 by 9am). If they are not too busy, we've been able to book nine holes of golf instead of the full 18 as another option, teeing off very early as well. Then, we do a leisurely breakfast and hit the pool. We personally love the spa, so the afternoon is when we book spa appointments and then we hang out in that facilities nooks and crannies reading, relaxing and loving the surroundings. Since this place is literally nestled into the mountain, the sun disappears behind them making the place shaded over by 5pm, so it starts to cool. Cool is a relative term, however. We have some dinner and then in the evening, we love to go back out to the pool area and star gaze or take another swim. After a day that is well into the 100s, temps being outside in the low 90s and sometimes high 80s actually feels cool! So, let me tell you that if you are from the Phoenix/Las Vegas or other really hot area, disappearing to this sanctuary for a couple of days to enjoy being outside for a few hours a day is terrific. And, by the way, if you happen to get an afternoon monsoon storm (they usually happen in the late afternoon or early evening), it's a fantastic thing to watch come and go from the golf club patio!
