This hostel is set in a cool building, with open outdoor walkways and a grand lobby. The bathrooms were pretty poor - showers were cold, and our rooms door was a bit shonky, plus the room was quite got but the staff were lovely, location was great and really helpful. Good wifi connection and decent rates, we paid 130 pesos... More

This hostel isnt one of the prettiest i've stayed in, but it sticks in my mind for one of the best locations! Definitely worth staying in Palmero rather than the city (Palmero is amazing!) and the hostel is an older true hostel style with big dorms and backpackers coming and going. Great rooftop kitchen and chill area. Staff were more... More

Had a very pleasant stay in BA because of this hostel. Very friendly! The hostel has daily cleaning. The breakfast isn't special. Coffee was bad. That was the only negative thing. Palermo is the perfect area to stay. Not too busy and close to nightlife dining and dancing.

I think this place gets too many bad reviews. I wasn't going to stay here based on that but then I liked the location and price.... glad I decided to stay here. I had a great dorm, big and spacious. The rooftop area is great day and night. The staff was super helpful and speak english great. The showers are... More

We stayed there in March 2012. Palermo is the place to be and this place has an awesome rooftop terrace (which goes mostly unused for some reason). The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the staff was OK. I would definitely stay there again

The staff at the desk were very unhelpful and sometimes rude. When we asked for any suggestions on restaurants that serve soup (since our friend was sick), they didn't have any! When we asked for some general information on places around, they just told to wander around and see! The layout of the hostel is just weird and terrible. To... More

I left my wallet in the bathroom for approximately one minute and returned to find it being cleaned by a staff member who said it was down at reception, but when I got there, 400 pesos were missing from my wallet, and when I informed the staff, they said they couldnt even tell me who turned it in. We stayed here for a few nights in late October 2011: it was by far the worst hostel I have ever been in. Rooms were very mouldy, damp and very unclean. Beds were horrendous, uncomfortable, dirty and probably infected with some bugs. Staff were also unfriendly and seemed to have an astonishling lack of knowledge of the area or indeed... More

An OK hostel, nothing special. A nice old building which was probably a very cool hostel once upon a time. Clean and nice communial areas. A bit run down in parts and lacks the personal touch you get in hostels that arent part of a big chain like this on. Close to the nice cafes and bars in Palermo but... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
