I enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. The staff pays attention to the extra details which really made this place fantastic! Casa Calma helped us arrange for a airport pick up which made things easier but the transfer service (a third party) was late in getting us. Due to the confusion we had at the airport, we had called...

I will probably never book another large chain hotel again. After being very satisfied in a boutique hotel in Quebec City we decided to book another in Buenos Aires. Looking on Trip Advisor we booked the Casa Calma, an 18 room (9 floors, 2 rooms per floor) beauty in the heart of the city. They were very responsive to all...

A well positioned hotel near sights and places of interest in Buenos Aires. The staff were wonderful and the rooms spacious with plenty of hanging space and drawers. Staff were very helpful in their recommendations of where to go and what to do, and recommended some superb restaurants.

This hotel is in the best location for getting to all of the neighborhoods of Buenos Aires....San Telmo Market on Sunday, the Recoleta, etc. The others are an inexpensive cab ride away (except La Boca/Caminito is a little farther away...but that's a good thing!). The hotel is very small...but they treat you wonderfully! The staff is very young and helpful....Noelia...

Going to a large city like Buenos Aires for a few days after a cruise with over 500 hotels makes it hard to decide of where to stay ! After looking for a few days on Trip advisor we decided on Casa Calma a wonderful "boutique " hotel in a very convenient location and after our stay there for a...

Casa Calma is a very special boutique hotel in the heart of the city. It is aptly named as it's an oasis of calm with a relaxed vibe. Besides the clean, comfy rooms, lovely breakfast and the jacuzzi in the bathroom, what makes this hotel special is the caring, helpful staff who handles every question or problem with a smile...

The first hotel I stayed at BA. It lived up to all the expectations trip advisor had created in me. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wifi worked in the bedroom. Comfortable spacious rooms with modern decor. Everything worked. Included breakfast was good too - I love it when they make eggs for you. Overall, very pleased.

We spent many hours looking over TA reviews for a "quaint", boutique-style hotel for our 3 days in BA at the end of our 19-day cruise. We ultimately decided on CASA CALMA and we not disappointed. The location is just a few blocks from major city streets and transportation stops (taxi/subway), with an unassuming front door on a narrow side...

Casa Calma is a small, quiet, comfortable hotel, conveniently located in the center of Buenos Aires -- the staff are very friendly and exceptionally helpful in recommending restaurants, places to visit, and getting around the city -- they will organize pick-up (and drop-off) for the airport. Highly recommended!

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
