Stayed for just 2 nights at the end of our trip. Centrally located not far from the Obelisk. Great room with double Jacuzzi (tip: don't put too much bubble bath in!). We had a back room and it wasn't overlooked and very quiet. Breakfast was lovely. Staff very accommodating. Would stay again.

We stayed for 4 nights at Casa Calma and loved everything. It is really well located, we could choose from tons of attractions at a 20 minutes walk distance. The staff is very helpful, from the tourist tips to the table service at the breakfast. Everything smells fresh and looks clean. We really hope to be there again!

This was the best place we stayed at while in Buenos Aires. The rooms were large and the shower and Jacuzzi were awesome. The people were great and very kind and the breakfast was delicious. As a comparison, we stayed at the Sofitel hotel which cost almost 5 times as much and Casa Calma was cleaner and better. We wished...

My wife & I stayed at Casa Calma for a week and had a great time there. The hotel is in a convenient location of Retiro and within walking distance of many of the others areas of the city, although taxis are plentiful as well and not really expensive. We had a room facing the street and we never had...

I have stayed at many hotels in my life and I have never come across a hotel with this great service. And this great service came from every single staff member at all times. They helped out with everything from booking tours, to explaining about dangers you should watch out for in BA. The rooms where very nice, and the...

There´s no telling how unique and special this hotel is. The crew is pretty helpful, kind, gentle and lovely. The rooms, the service, the breakfast and the assistence are quite perfect. In a nutshell, I don´t really remember another hotel as good as this one! They were special, kind and sensitive. It is also well located , easy to reach...

We stayed in Buenos Aires for 2 nights in this hotel. At first when our cab dropped us off, we weren't too sure because it looked small but not to fear, it's beautiful inside. It exudes relaxation and when we entered our room, we were blown away by how big and well decorated our room was! Another great point is...

We stayed in the hotel for 8 days last week and it was great. The staff goes out of there way to be helpful. Maps always ready. Ideas of places to go and reservations made without attitude. The breakfast was great. The room was very quiet and spacious. Only 2 rooms per floor. The bathroom is really nice including a...

We stayed 3 nights with a group of friends at this hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and does their best to satisfy the hotel guests. I would like to highlight the professional attitude and service of Florencia who works at the reception desk. Congratulations! The hotel is located downtown and I would recommend it to all those who travel...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
