I only stayed for one night, last week, and chose this hotel to get a first taste of Palermo- even though I have stayed in other parts of BA many times over the last 25 years. First of all, let me say that Maggie was gorgeous and the staff are wonderful. The hotel is lovely and a refuge from the...

This small hotel on Julian Alvarez Street is a great location in Palermo with good restaurants close by. The subte is an easy walk. Our room was extremely comfortable , but what makes Magnolia so special is the staff. Thanks to everyone, but especially Maggie and Francisco! You've set a new standard in

This hotel only has 8 rooms and we stayed in a twin room on the ground floor with access to a shared patio area (which we did not use during our stay). The room was more than adequate and the breakfast was great, but the location was what we liked as the hotel was within a few minutes walk of...

We planned a 4 night stay at the Magnolia in March. After our 2nd day of complete satisfaction, we extended our stay and spent a total of 7 nights appreciating the personal attention and comfort of this charming boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully elegant yet inviting with firm beds, cotton bedding, great bathrooms, and charming shared common space. Everything...

When we arrived via cab to this little hotel on a cobblestone street, we couldn't tell much from the outside other than a gorgeous wooden door and the little sign. When we rang the bell we were greeted and checked in promptly. We were tired from traveling, but wanted to walk around. We dropped our things off in the room...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
