Spacious rooms. Fast Internet. Great location. Passionate owner (natalia). All ingredients for a great stay. It can become even 5 stars if the breakfast is just an inch better, the front door can be opened /closed by itself and if Natalia would be around more. A place we certainly recommend to stay when in BA!

The hostel is comfortable, clean and situated in a very good location with plenty of options for dining and sights within walking distance. Natalia and her staff are exceptionally friendly. Free wifi and lockers in the dorm rooms. This is a very pleasant hostel and good value for money.

I really lucked out on picking to stay here. Natalia and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Good coffee in the morning! 24 hours there is someone on duty to unlock the door when coming and going. Clean, spacious room, all amenities. Nice little rooftop chilling area. Affordable and practical, would recommend it to anyone coming...

The B&B is situated in the middle of Montserrat, a residential quarter of Buenos Aires, safe and nice. Walking distance from Plaça 25 Mayo and St.Telmo. The rooms are very cosy and well decorated. There is also a 4 or 6 beds dorm (we haven't checked it) that looked clean and nice, a clean, well equiped kitchen. The common parts...

This hostel/bed and breakfast is run by Natalia, an incredibly friendly and helpful owner who goes out of her way to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit to BA. On arrival she immediately pointed out the areas of the city to avoid on the map and with the door constantly locked, you feel extremely safe the whole time....

The rooms were clean, cosy, large and at least 5 m to the ceiling! Natalia was very helpful and gave us valuable advice of Buenos Aires. Ok breakfast with good coffee. Neighbourhood not so fun but 5-10 minutes walk away you have busy streets and metrobus /subway.

The location of this place is not that wonderful, but we found a nice Italian restaurant just a half block from there. The staff are helpful, but only Natalia speaks English. The place is very clean. It was nice of them to have two PCs (one was out of order) to check up something online if you don't have any...

After 5 weeks in Argentina (hostels and many overnight bus rides) Tango & Bandoneon felt like an oasis! Room: We stayed in a double/shared bathroom on the second floor facing the street, Friday & Saturday night in March. The street noise and Saturday night music nearby were noticeable but didn't keep me awake. Ceiling fan provided plenty of cooling. Everything...

Simple and clean hostel, with kitchen and several bathrooms. We had a room directing to the street and it was very noisy by night, trucks passing by. Very nice and helpfull owner, but breakfast just to poor with few cornets and bread and coffee.

A very beautiful building in one of the best locations in Buenos Aires. We were welcomed by Natalia who was extremely helpful and helped us organise our ten day stay in Buenos Aires. Lovely, simple breakfast each morning and hot showers. Bed was made daily and fresh towels with soap. Everything was clean. Would definitely recommend it!

Thank Stacey S

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
